Well-written and enjoyable book. Doesn't read like a "genre" novel. And avoids the obnoxious sexism and racism found in the first two books. By the 3rd novel, Fleming has reached what we now think of (through the movies) as the proper Bond plot. ...more

Pretty good read, love the opening first part of the story with Bond and Drax playing Bridge at Blades. Fleming can describe dinning at a first class establishment and a game of cards in fine detail.
