I found the book to be well written, a little to verbose in spots. The characters were well developed but the Russian names gave me trouble. The plot was strange at times but the love between the main characters was quiet different than normal.

One of the few times where I wished I had read the book because the narration by Henry Stozier was only so so. I will continue on with the series though since it is so universally acclaimed and I enjoy stories set in the Soviet Union.
