Ha - picked this up as a lark in a half-price bookstore in Seattle, but not only was this a surprisingly good book, the original Rambo (or "the kid" as he's called through most of the story) makes Stallone's character in the film actually look like a total puss! None of the fancy booby traps to hurt-but-not-kill; no, this Rambo is a psychologically shattered killer who turns the tables and intentionally hunts his pursuers. Truly a classic! We've all seen the movie, and as usual, it doesn't compare to the book. The depth and change we experience between Rambo and the police chief is captivating. If you enjoy actio and thriller novels, this book will not disappoint! ...more
