What Members Thought
This was wonderful! Seemed to be where the novel meets non-fiction. There's something in the requirements of successfully gathering intelligence, disseminating false information with an objective in mind (and if successfully winning world war II isn't an objective, I don't know what is). Imagination is required, monitoring that information, translating what you get from how you get it, and making use of it. The British Intelligence system is the originating background (M15 & M16) for this. Agent

I wanted to like this book, but just couldn't finish it. There was so much detail that the story just got lost and never became intriguing. Wish it flowed a little faster. Historically this is amazing, and a great piece o research by the author. Reading was just dogged by the boring back story that moved at a snails pace.

For accessible, informative and above all, entertaining narrative history you can't go wrong with Ben Macintrye. Another fascinating WW2 spy tale.
