Ah, yes, this is why I wanted our little group to devote a year to reading classics. What a gem A Tale of Two Cities is. Dickens may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this story about the insanity of the French Revolution has a bit of everything: mystery, romance, treachery, heroism, class conflict, great characters, and of course tragedy all rolled into one. Best opening and closing paragraphs ever, too! ...more
