Well, what a monster of a book. Took me a while to read this one, Melville's use of language although beautiful was a challenge to understand. What I did enjoy about this book is the storyline of Ahab and his relentless obsession if revenge against the white whale, but, the rest of the book read like an encyclopaedia of whales and whaling. A couple of chapters like this were fun to read but they broke the main story up and chipped away at the message.
