ok but how did a nineteen-year-old write this? mary shelley I salute thee
(actual review? maybe later — my thoughts are that I have nothing insightful to add to the vast collection of commentary written about this book. I also have, after nearly two years of not writing anything on goodreads, developed an existential crisis in which I feel it’s unnecessary to try to come up with something to write about a book or give it a rating — is the act of reading it not enough on its own?)
