The most unrealistic thing about this book is that I think I only counted 1 f-bomb, and frankly there should have been more given the circumstances. Also I'm never leaving land again, and I will not be reviewing that position at this or any other time.

This is my first Mira Grant read, felt very sci-fi horror for me.
There was a lot to love in this- the take on mermaids, the main characters, the little twists throughout. Lots of murder as well, for those who dislike gore- this is a gory book. I really liked that because each perspective change could have a potential death happen, I was reading the perspective like 'IS THIS SOMETHING SOMEONE WOULD SAY AS A FINAL LINE'
