What Members Thought

This series is well written and is a joy to read. But it has the one problem that post-apocalyptic/Future Earth stories that absolutely irks me... The setting, "the city" which turns out to be Chicago, in these books is the only place on the planet. There is no mention of anything, ever, outside the city. Where is the rest of the Earth? How can they have a civil war in a city and the rest of the country not step in, unless the rest of America is gone. If so, then it would be really nice to know

Started with an interesting premise, life in factions. Will not insert any spoilers here.
Knowing that this is the first book in a trilogy; I hope that the next books will explain the last 100 pages of the book and take this story not to the usual formulaic good against evil type predictable drama, but uncover something original in plot line.

I buzzed through this one. I'm a sucker for dystopian novels, and this one was no exception. Tris is a great main character to follow, and the story is compelling. Can't wait to see where this one goes in the next book.
