This book was suggested to me by many many people, and they gave their reviews about it. They said that the book was an "interesting" story about this young boy, August, who was born with a facial difference, that the book was about what challenges he faced and how he tried to overcome them. After hearing this, I gave the book a try.

10-year-old Auggie looks very different from his friends, but if his classmates would just get to know him, they would realise he's smart, witty, and more like them than they thought.

This book was funny, easy to read, and meaningful. R.J. Palacio manages to capture the thoughts and conversations of tweens & teens very realistically. Different chapters help the reader to empathise with the perspectives of many different characters. Highly recommended!
