Love. I'm pretty sure you are going to read that word one too many times in this review but it just cannot be helped. This book was so cute and I just loved it.

Here's the thing. I have a teenage daughter that loves to read. She especially loves romantic teenage books but it is so hard to find those kind of books that are clean (no swearing, no sex). I practically become giddy when I find a book like The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back. It is full of all things teenager- school drama, boy c

This is a good one! It was hilarious. I liked the personalities of both sisters. I liked how the book showed growth and development and moral strength of both sisters. Looking forward to reading more by this author!

I have come to the conclusion that Sariah Wilson cannot write a bad story- time after time I read one of her books and find myself laughing out loud (literally!) at her character's witty dialogue, holding my breath with anticipation, and sighing in contentment at each conclusion.

The characters in this story had an unexpected depth, which added nicely to this change in a modern day fairytale. There was so much more to the story than first meets the eye, with some fantastic plot twists. Definitel

This book is so much fun. I was a little concerned before I read it, since it would be really easy to make Mattie's character so angry it wouldn't be fun to read, but Sariah handles Mattie very well! The characters felt very fun and well rounded. It's a great twist on Cinderella and a fun perspective.

I think my favorite story line was actually Mattie and her emotionally abusive mother. (Mini-spoiler: it led to my favorite of Mattie's triumphs.)

The romance develops very well over the course of th

Let me say that this is a typical, clean young adult read, and if you like happy endings with hearts and flowers, this is for you. I have to admit that the sweetness in the book--especially towards the end of the book--became a bit too much for me. I guess I am not .as fond of books where the characters meet their soul mates in high school, but I guess that is what happens when you get close to your 40's.

What I will say is that book is squeaky clean--no profanity nor sex--and I can't tell you ho

Loved this book. Fantastic voice and great plot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of fun, but with a serious message about believing in ourselves and shutting out the voices that want to tear us down.

I felt sad about her relationship with her mother, but I could understand why she felt that way and it reminded me to not be that kind of mom.

Highly recommended!! Can't wait for the next book.

I loved this book! I got it as a Kindle freebie but it is WELL worth the regular price of $2.99. The main character was so funny! It's YA fiction but adults will like this one as well. I liked the development of the relationships in the book. I will definitely read more from this author and I can't wait to read the sequel to this book. ...more

Very cute, even 12-year-old appropriate but fun for mom as well, book! High school romance, clever lines, and fun flashbacks to movies from my high school years (ok, I guess well before my high school years) as well. Great job Ms.Wilson- I will follow to see what else you write!

Very cute YA novel. Quick read! I really enjoyed watching Mattie's character grow. She was lovesick but not a pushover and showed a depth of character that all YA could learn from and emulate. I'll definitely read the sequel! ...more

I found this book cute, fun and likable. I liked Mattie and even enjoyed her obsession with Jake. At first I didn't really care for Jake. I liked how Mattie stood up for what was right even through her obsession with him. ...more
