Alessandra Torre is another one of those authors for me that is an automatically a must read and one-click. Every book that she releases are completely devoured. Ok so I went into this book blind. No reviews read and no blurb read. I just knew Alessandra Torre wrote it and that was good enough for me to one click it!! So I was like ......WOE!! What is happening here?? We have a chick who has a desire to kill lock herself in her so apartment cause she doesn't tryst herself to not give into her temptations and who is a cammer! This book was not at all what I expected. I'm not sure what I was expecting, you ever know what you're going to get with a book by Alessadra Tore. But it was great. The Girl in 6E exposes and explores human being's baser needs...the sexual fetishes...the desires that some may only feel comfortable acting on in a "safe" realm - one where they won't be judged, at least outwardly. But it's also a place where reality can cross over and prove to be a double edged sword, especially for Deanna Madden who is known to her web guests as Jessica Reilly. The Girl in 6E was not what I expected and there were moments early on where I thought I wouldn’t be able to continue. Cautiously reading comments about this book, I went into it as blind as could be, considering this is not a new release.

Deanna resides in apartment 6E and doesn’t venture out her front door. She has adapted remarkably well to her self-imposed environment and seems at ease with her isolation. It’s an impressive set up she’s established and proud of her succes 4.5 Possibly 5 Stars

The Girl in 6E was not what I expected and there were moments early on where I thought I wouldn’t be able to continue. Cautiously reading comments about this book, I went into it as blind as could be, considering this is not a new release.

Deanna resides in apartment 6E and doesn’t venture out her front door. She has adapted remarkably well to her self-imposed environment and seems at ease with her isolation. It’s an impressive set up she’s established and proud of her success which has the potential to continue for a long time yet to come. All until one client takes it too far and alarm bells start to go off in Deanna’s head.

Driven to do something way out of her comfort zone, she embarks on a mission blinded by the task ahead. It was at this point I was relieved I had continued as the storyline departs from the direction it was heading in. Being a person who reaches for a dark story, this scenario that was starting to unfold (view spoiler) would normally be a deal breaker for me. The only reason I continued was readers I respect had spoken highly of this book. And with the benefit of hindsight, I doubt the suspense would have been the same without the unbearable details early on which pushed my boundaries beyond my tolerance for subject matter.

It wasn’t all dark, there are some caring people Deanna encounters and forms some unconventional friendships with them. I’m hopeful they continue to be a part of the series as you really only skim the surface in getting to know them. It’s through her friendships and determination she pushes her boundaries and the consequence is it opens her mind to the possibilities beyond what she dreamed of.

This series is one of the more expensive ones but I don’t regret paying a bit extra when it turns out to be a good one. Apart from the section of the book I struggled with, the writing kept me on the edge of my seat, heart pounding terrified of what could happen next.

I haven’t felt like this about a book since reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, two different plots but it was the level of suspense and rawness of the subject matter they both shared that took me beyond my comfort zone and each time rewarded with a great story.
