Our solar system died long ago, but not before humans escaped aboard a ship. They discovered a new solar system, with multiple life sustaining planets. Each planet has different creatures on it, but rather than destroy the ecosystems, by building many cities, One city was built on each planet. Over time, the descendants of the settlers forgot about where they came from. Now it's the modern age, again, on all the planets, with cell phones and computers and technology.
