[close] 1.Malcolm Gladwell uses anecdotes to shape his arguments in this piece. Identify one anecdote in part one that resonates with you, for whatever reason. What is the point of his anecdote? How does it reinforce his purpose? Everyone must answer this part; then, choose one approach below.

a) Was it effective, in your opinion? Are there any holes in his example? Do you see any problems with it? Can you think of an anecdote that counters Gladwell's? If so, what are they? OR
b) If you feel his anecdote is an effective way to support his argument discuss why and identify an similar story or anecdote from your own observations.
