Paul Bowles, and Modern Gothic
Gothic literature is defined as containing elements of horror and romance, as Bowles' work definitely did. Jane Bowles, the Bowles's friend Tennessee Williams, and Moroccan storytellers like Mohammed Mrabet (whose work Paul Bowles transcribed and promoted) also wrote in that vein and I would like to see their work discussed too. I'm starting this thread with no notion of where it might or should lead.
