This year Sheffield Libraries will lead the city in The Sheffield Year of Reading 2020. Reading for pleasure has been shown to be one of the most important factors in contributing to a child's future success, and across all ages, reading has a real, positive and significant impact on well-being.
The Sheffield Year of Reading will celebrate reading in all of its forms and its legacy will be to turn Sheffield into a reading city.
