Why Stars Without Comments?

Many, many times when I am trying to decide whether to read a book, I go to Goodreads to read the comments to see what others think. All too often, there are star ratings, but no comments. Why did you like the book? Why Didn't you like the book?

Why do people do that? Can you be encouraged to actually take a bit of time and say why you gave the rating you did? Am I nuts? Am I the only one who gives up and goes elsewhere to find actual reviews? What do you think? ...more
