895766 Imagine if you were transported back in time and met Hiter’s mother when she was pregnant. What would you do?

895766 Christianity has one God, with three parts of the Godhead. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Mankind is in a fallen state because of sin. To save mankind, God sent his only begotten son. Jesus died to redeem all the sins of man.

The Bible John 3:15-17
“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

895766 What is the evidence that Jesus will be coming 'really soon'? Will it be in your life time? And where exactly will Jesus return?

I believe that Joseph Smith was a con man.

I believe that Jesus was a man who preached morals in the 1st century, and was then crucified. Stories about his life formed the basis of the Christian religion. This is a natural explanation that takes God out of the picture.

895766 The same points could have been made in the 1960s, when the situation was worse. I’m pretty confident that America will stay together. Will Jesus be returning in America? What about the rest of the world?

895766 Christians have been saying that for the last 2000 years. Still no sign of Jesus returning.

895766 The Old Testament was based on the Hebrew Bible. Look up the Dead Sea Scrolls. The first four books of the New Testament, the Gospels, tell the story of Jesus. They were written about 40-70 years after Jesus. The rest of the New Testament largely concerns the spread of early Christianity and the actions of Paul the Apostle. At the time of Jesus, there was no separation between Judaism and Christianity. They became different religions at the time of Paul.

895766 Many people wrote the Bible. It’s 66 books altogether. The Ancient Israelites wrote the Old Testament, or the Hebrew Bible to the Jews. The New Testament was written centuries later in Greek. The Bible as we know didn’t take form until the 5th century.

895766 Should a rape victim be forced to give birth to a rapist’s baby?

895766 The best way to understand it is to read books on the subject.

895766 Capitalism allows for property rights, which is a fundamental freedom. Socialism does not. Capitalism is based on free exchange among people. Socialists say that property will be collectively owned, or by the people or the workers. But in reality it is owned by the state. The economy is centrally planned and the state dictates it from above, instead of letting individuals decide for themselves.

895766 Socialism is a failed idea. The history of the 20th century is a testament to that. Capitalism is so far the only economic system that allows for human freedom.

895766 Life is uncertain so I don’t know if I will ever find it. Then toss in all uncertainties about knowledge and how can we ever know something?
