I'm feeling a bit better so hi again! I actually dont think I see any familiar faces (aside from Megan lol) other than Cat? I think we were on a team together at some point for some challenge haha!
Super excited to get started in a few weeks. This is my third UNO & is my favorite team challenge (though Wheels was also really good). I personally think it's the best because it's the perfect balance of reading whatever you want, while also maybe stepping outside of your comfort zone when the mini-challenges start. I co-captained the last two years, and decided to step back this year because I started grad school in the summer and am really busy with that!
According to Storygraph, my favorite genre is fantasy. With mystery and thriller being very close behind. That seems pretty accurate, though I tend to read what fits my mood.
I just got off the phone with Megan a bit ago and was telling her my first planned reading for UNO...I recently got my hands on the first 16 Nancy Drew books. I've been trying to find them for SO long, and I couldn't find a library that had them or any audio. I am so so excited to read them!!
I'm currently on mobile as well, so I'll tag my shelf when I get on my laptop! Can't wait to start reading with you all!

Hi friends :)
I just wanted to get my check-in done. I'm sick today so I'll do my intro when I'm feeling a bit better. Really excited for my 3rd UNO!

(is what I'm thinking the theme is??) lol

Really excited to see the mini challenges with the animal theme this year

Jenny I was just joking! lol I know we all have different tastes

I also need to add....I think I really enjoyed the author's use of all the senses throughout the book. I have aphantasia and have never been able to picture anything from books in my head. I still couldn't with this but I felt like it was the closest I've ever gotten due to the author sort of stimulating the memories of the senses, especially the Circus scenes.

If yall don't stop trashing The Night Circus I WILL cry lmao! That's like....my favorite book aside from the HP series lmao

Any hint for the theme this year :)?

YAYY its finally time again

I had so much fun team!!! Thank you all so much and I hope you had a great time. We kicked butt, especially since we lost some people along the way. I hope to see you guys again next year :)

I'll also be able to finish at least one more after the one I'm reading. I just haven't decided what that'll be.

We do have a couple different things left so keep posting in the main as well for now :)

I'm going to see if I can get on my laptop tonight and get it figured out. The issue is that my goodreads is connected through Facebook and I don't remember my Facebook password lol....so we'll see how this goes later!

I believe it will be added to the tracking sheet! I would do it but im not sure how. I tried and can't figure it out. I am not an excel master! lol
Once it's updated you can put the mini info in there

My other Yellow Cover book is SO boring. I'll have it finished by the end of the month tho because I know we have a lot

It was beautiful in a horrible way. I agree that the author did such a wonderful job capturing everything!! I would probably read it again too at some point. It really moved me

Robin what did you think of The Nickel Boys???

Awesome! So that's 4/6 Team Name books we need :)

Remember books for the MINI don't count until tomorrow :) if you can, feel free to hold off finishing the last little bit of your books!

Yes! So as you may have seen, we have to read books that are where the other Team names are from. We cannot read our own name. We can only use each once so I thought we should talk this part over so we don't have people all read the same book. I told Melissa that I can read The Hunger Games and Phantom of the Opera since I already own those!
