But, anyway, UNO, and the annual fun of trying to maximise use of books off our TBR and cursing the irksome colour & number combos that leads to an expansion of books! At least our TBRs are a TARDIS, right? Bigger on the inside?
Whilst we have many many returnees, always worth reminding of the team rules:
1. Have fun! It's a GRs challenge, not a competition with money prizes
2. Be kind! Text based comms can go awry, so please do assume the best interpretation of what other people say - we're all readers, after all, which makes us awesome-sauce wonderful people!
3. Read what you want! And tell us! The most important thing for your long-suffering captains is communication, what you are reading, what you are planning on reading, when you are going to go quiet
In general, the approach Danielle & I take is to fill in difficult cards first, so claim a couple of those if you like (colour covers, reverses), after those are prioritised we'll turn to the trickier numbers, but are unlikely to need claims.
Don't worry about your books - if they meet word count requirements we'll fit them in by hook or by crook, via some Captain Tetris.
So.... we use a fab-u-lous tracking sheet (thanks Danielle), to which everyone can add their books and which cards it fits and why. Pop a hyper link to the edition you are reading in, cos that helps. You can add your planned books now, when you start them or when you finish them. If you hate a spreadsheet, pop the relevant info in a post here!
Just remember: books must be started AFTER the challenge starts, and must be at least 100 pages and 3hrs long for kids books

Reasons why: snow visible through the window, holly at the bottom, Christmas in title
Reasons why not: bit subtle
Thoughts?

I was worried you'd take it that way!

Teddie: official GIFs are fab, but please don't inflict one of your infamously horrific AI gen images on us! I don't think I could cope with strangely positioned baked goods!

Christmas scene on cover to be read in January seems harsh! we able to stretch a point to generic snowy-ness?

How the luck of the draw saw us against the other teams I can't confirm until tomorrow or Thursday though

The love interest is a side-kick of the Big Bad and ends up helping to overthrow him (this is the BBC Guy, where he ends up killing his former boss the Sheriff)
That work for people?

#18 with a word in the title or series title that can be considered an evil deed or that has some evil connotation
#46 with a plot (trope/plot device/action/occurrence) that can be connected with your team villain (e.g. revenge / unrequited love)
