JoJo_theDoDo wrote: "Hope you all are having a lovely day. It's rainy here, but I honestly like this weather. It's good weather for reading a book while drinking a cup of coffee or tea. : )."
OMG, me too!! I LOVE the rainy days, but I get looked at weirdly by everyone when I say that. Haha! :P
It has been raining for the last couple of days here as well and is forecasted to go on till the weekend - so while everyone around me is crying for the weather, I am secretly enjoying it! ;=)
I am not a tea or a coffee drinker - but I LOVE hot chocolate!
Actually anything chocolate.
Uff, now I am craving for some.
Time to go forage the shelves.
Kelly wrote: "I’ve actually already finished two books this month but I need to get myself together and actually log them"Yeah, yeah! You just don't like spending the time with us! :'=(

Hehe. Just kidding.
Hope all this prep is getting you pumped for the new job!
Congratulations again on the new gig - I hope you enjoy every bit of it! :)
I KNOOOOW! I feel like all my books would be a waste if I finish them between now and Mar 1st! :P
But, to that point, everyone, you can start reading a book, but would need to complete it after the clock runs out on this countdown.
https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...
Ah, aren't you the best, Maddy!Thank you!! :)
WE ARE ALL DONE!!
And guess what, for whatever time it will be till other teams finalize/finish their cards - right now, we are #1.
It sure is a fun challenge, but that indeed does feel good. Hehe! :P
P.S. And YES, they ought to give the team that finishes all its cards almost a week in advance 500 points extra! :P I am going to start a petition now.
UPDATE
We are all done with our February Hands!!
There is only one (1) mini task left and then we can claim every single point allotted to us this month.
EXCELLENT coordination by every single one of you.
Truly a team effort!
ltn wrote: "COMPLETION POSTBook: WIN LOSE KILL DIE
DOES NOT FIT ANY REMAINING MINI"
It sure does! :)
Black Cover - beautiful cover replaced your other book Confessions (which was read well before the start of the Mini challenge which was 14Feb)
JoJo_theDoDo wrote: "I finished In Cold Blood. I’m not able to access the spreadsheet at the moment. Can someone please update this book as finished for me. Thank you! 😊"All set! :)
JoJo_theDoDo wrote: "Question: If we start a book now but don't finish until March will it count for March?."Absolutely does, as long as it is finished after March 1, 9am UTC.
And to that point,
March tab is up and ready on the tracking spreadsheet for everyone to start planning their books, if preferred.

YOU FOLKS ARE PHENOMENAL!
That's it! That is the update! :=) Byeeee!
-----------------------------------------------------
Haha! But honestly, we are into the last week of a short month and we are already looking to complete everything on our plate in the next few days. That is nuts!
You folks just gobble books up and you need to get checked. Hehe! :P
We have 12 books to go to complete all 15 of our hands.
And I was able to move books around, so all the remaining letters are not crazy at all.
Woot! Woot! :)
And the mini?!
Pshaw! CRUSHED IT!
Up for Grabs
- Book with a mixer in it.
Claimed and need completion
- Apoorv | Our Wives Under the Sea
- Emily | Confessions
- Jax | Everywhere an Oink Oink: An Embittered, Dyspeptic, and Accurate Report of Forty Years in Hollywood
- Kelly | Pretty Jane and the Viper of Kidbrooke Lane: A True Story of Victorian Law and Disorder: The Unsolved Murder that Shocked Victorian England
- Kelly | #Murdertrending
- Kelly | Bayou Moon
- Maddy | Honey Mead Murder
If you think you are not going to get to it or if you are not feeling like it, just drop in a word and we will find another book that fits.
If your book fits one of these tasks that are claimed by others, mention that too, so it eases the pressure on the claimants to complete their book.
Long story short,
YOU'LL ARE AWESOME!! :=D
JoJo_theDoDo wrote: "Hi Book Friends!Just finished The Song of Achilles and updated the spreadsheet. It looks like a lot has been updated on the mini spreadsheet. I noticed the directions area is completed already an..."
Hey Jo, I moved "In Cold Blood" from the directions mini, because the "in" in this case unfortunately wasn't a direction indicator since the whole title (In Cold Blood) is a phrase in its own.
But, we absolutely will use every single read book to fit in some how.
I just added your "Song of Achilles" in the mini for fruits because I remembered that there is a reference of figs in there. :-)
ltn wrote: "Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a fun time reading! It seems like my last completion post
this one COMPLETION POST
Book: Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone
Author: Benjamin Stevenso..."
Should be all set, Emily.
Can you please check if the book works for any of the mini tasks?
Becky wrote: "Apoorv wrote: "Becky wrote: "Quick question about the spirits - is it enough that they simply drink in the book or should it be a bigger theme? Just FYI: in historical romances the men are drinking..."Would you mind adding a reference to the sentence in the respective book where there is mention of the said spirit (any one if all they do is drink in the whole book. haha!) alongwith the page number/location/audiobook percent? Thanks! :)
Becky wrote: "Quick question about the spirits - is it enough that they simply drink in the book or should it be a bigger theme? Just FYI: in historical romances the men are drinking CONSTANTLY 😅🥃"These boozy men, I tell you?!
Good for us - more mini tasks covered. Haha!
Any reference where there is mention of any kind of spirits should work.
Becky wrote: "Hi Team - I have an apology to write. I've been a bit out of touch over this last week. Long story short, I had go out of town twice to deal with something and I wasn't able to bring a computer wit..."You were away? :P
Kelly wrote: "My question for the day:Does anybody have any books/series/authors that are a guilty pleasure?"
That would be the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
Anytime I feel like I need a book that could make me LOL, that is the series that I inadvertently reach out for. :-)
Kelly wrote: "A book can count for both the main tasks AND mini tasks. Sometimes a book will only fit one or the other, and that’s absolutely fine too."True. But, if we can use the same book for the regular cards and the mini, that is one less book to read at the end. ;=)
Given that we have 40 Mini prompts, I bet we can find something in each of the next 40 read books. HAHA! :p
Jax wrote: "I just finished The Rook which I thought was a lot of fun. I'll describe it as a thriller with tongue planted a bit on cheek."Hey Jax, can you please add in the sentence and page/location from this book which can be used for a mixer in the mini challenge, as you had pointed out? Thanks! :)
