88432 Thank you, UNO mini books are also used for the main hand cards and usually have very specific prompts. There is no way to guess what ahead of time.

This is correct. Thank you, Mary and Elisabeth

See here in the rules:

◈ Note: . Just remember, you can only get points if a hand is completed, and in order.
So, if you complete all of hand 1, some of hand 2, and all of hand 3, you will only get points for hand 1 and the books read of hand 2.

I saw that. Where is I lived last winter in MA is getting ~17 inches. Sounds like a good weekend to stay inside and warm. I have two books I need to finish up so I can start fresh for UNO but otherwise, excited to start too.

88432 Since books can't be used in more than one place, we still need a lot of books, but Ella makes a good point that as people read, can you mark E and V characters as those can be harder to find. (I's as well even if we have fewer this round).

Mostly, after the color cards, read whatever you want, as I have almost never had issues making books fit. It also helps if people mark all options.

That is perfect. Good call, I entirely missed that in the subtitle. My bad and thank you

88432 In the past, I have read The Ghosts of Sherwood (The Robin Hood Stories, #1) by Carrie Vaughn by Carrie Vaughn for Green 7 (green cover, A: Vaughn).

Yes, but these are more for ideas as anyone can add covers to the lists so some don't work

Great idea

Just a reminder for everyone that the cover you use must be the version you read so in this example, you would need to read the copy with the green cover

88432 Jax wrote: "Would Pandora's Lab Seven Stories of Science Gone Wrong by Paul A. Offit be green enough to be the green 7? I'm already reading it for another group?"

It is green enough but I don't see how it would fit for the 7 (letter V), esp as it is non-fiction. See Ella's example with Velaris and a green cover.

88432 Mary, every color card but the Green 7 is covered for now but we may need it by the end of the month if books end up moving around (as they often do).

Draw 2 's allow one book to cover two sports, so they are basically free but also give us less points.

88432 Welcome, everyone is here.

I am excited to get started in just over a week. Remember that all books must be started after the challenge starts.

Please post in the spreadsheet if you can and completion posts are not needed unless you cannot access the spreadsheet for some reason

Jax,

That sound like fun and I would encourage people to post fun and especially less well-known books in the thread with a sentence about who may or may not like it.

88432 Sadly, it needs to be first and last name and not middle name but otherwise, yes, a cover that is more than 50% blue and a F char/title/author is what we are looking for.

88432 Ella,

The color cards have both numbers and colors. A Red 9 needs to have a red cover and an N title/author/ character, such as The Maid by Nita Prose by Nita Prose.
For each color card, we have 1 each and then three will be duplicated by a Wild Draw 4.
