Sounds good, I hope you enjoy it

88432 March cards are out. I will set up the planning sheet and color cards later today.

For Thirza, novellas or short books that I suggest for the remaining mini options:
One Day All This Will Be Yours by Adrian Tchaikovsky One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Beauty and Beastly Steampunk Beauty and the Beast (Steampunk Fairy Tales #3) by Melanie Karsak

Less short:
The Beast Player (The Beast Player, #1-2) by Nahoko Uehashi The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia A. McKillip A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World by C.A. Fletcher

88432 Works for me too

88432 Elen, that is so much fun and now I want to do a Murderbot reread

Also, for everyone, please make sure that any book on the mini is also on the main planning spreadsheet as well

88432 Also, if anyone is looking for a tiny book, these cover multiple times of day:

Dusk, Night, Dawn On Revival and Courage by Anne Lamott Dusk or Dark or Dawn or Day by Seanan McGuire
I have not read the 1st one and I only gave the 2nd one 3 stars for getting the geography of eastern KY completely wrong (you can't really grow corn there). If you are unlikely to know that fact, then you may like it more.

Thanks for the help guys."

If you want to read it, feel free to read it anyways

88432 I agree that it is sadly more grey than white, and Elen is correct that for any word in title, it cannot be a compound word so no Southborough for South etc.

It can be "hunter" or "huntress" or plural.

In general, can everyone make sure they link the correct cover to the mini spreadsheet so we can check everything more easily. Thank you

The Worst Christmas Ever?

It's free on Kindle Unlimited and pretty short. It would work for South or West in series title, right? (It says it's the..."

If you would like to read it, that would be great but up to you. I think west is harder than south for now.

88432 No rush, thank you for checking in. Hope you are enjoying your books
Feb 10, 2023 02:59PM

88432 Denise, I moved your book to wooden object on cover as the dog (or other animal) needs to be in the title and not on the cover
Feb 10, 2023 07:32AM

88432 For now, plan for the higher points for title or series title (10 points) and not in text ( 6 point option)

88432 Mini is up early: Rules here

Here is the planning sheet, if people want to claim/plan books: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Books need to be finished after the start of this mini challenge on Feb 14, 9am UTC and before March 1 at 9am UTC (when the March UNO month begins).

We just got the preview for captains, and it will be fun (or so I hope). It should be up for teams to see Saturday or Sunday and then it usually starts on the 15th.

88432 Great, Denise.

I am about to start my green one once I finish the BOM for another group

Good luck, Sunny, on Thursday

88432 I read a short fluffy book and am now working on Middlegame for the BOM in another ground. It reads pretty fast.

88432 I applied to a job today so hoping to get some reading started tomorrow. Glad everyone seems to be enjoying their books so far.

88432 Happy UNO Reading, everyone

88432 Hi, everyone. Somehow, we are at the end of January already. (This is exciting for UNO and less exciting for the things I need to get done in real life).

Just a reminder: Only books STARTED after the challenge begins can count. The challenge starts on Wednesday February 1, 2023 at 9am UTC time. Countdown: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...

88432 Denise wrote: "Question: if a book takes place in Trenton, New Jersey, does it count for 2 or 9 or both?"

You always use the smallest sized place so town or even if it takes place at a house with a name. I am hesitant to ever use country names and case by case with states. Trenton is what would be used here.

88432 So many fun books, I am looking forward to: Translation State (Imperial Radch) by Ann Leckie A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher & System Collapse (The Murderbot Diaries, #7) by Martha Wells (yay, more Murderbot)
