866812 That’s totally allowed. And welcome aboard, Meagan!

866812 I really enjoy the Egwene and Nyneave hunting black Ajah as well. It really adds to how the characters are getting stronger.

866812 Perrin used to be my favourite in past reads. I liked his connection to wolves. I didn’t see him as annoying at all. Now that I’m older I don’t identify with him much at all. I identify more with Lan, Morraine, and Thom more. Which goes to show Jordan’s strength in writing characters.

866812 It was a favourite of mine as well. I love the interaction between Mat and Thom. I also enjoy how Mat acts the tough guy but ends up doing the right thing.

866812 Very well said, Misha!

866812 Thank you, Misha! 😀

866812 I felt this wasn't a bad book, but it felt a little messy. I didn't like how we stayed with certain characters for so long before returning to others. By the time we did return to the others, I forgot what they were doing.

And Rand isn't in it as much. Also, Perrin began to become a little annoying to me. I get that he comes preprogrammed with a prejudice of Aes Sedai, but him butting heads with Morraine with every decision she made just made me want to slap him. I'm surprised Lan didn't. LOL Then I'd remind myself that Perrin is young, and he has so much more to learn about the world. He's also afraid and pissed off that his life has been hijacked by fate and Morraine wears the best representation of all this, so it makes perfect sense for him to act out the way does.

866812 Final week of Dragon Reborn!

What are your guys' thoughts? So far, I'd say that this is the weakest of the first three. My thoughts in the first comment. Or, I guess, second comment.

866812 Week three of the Dragon Reborn, chapters 30 through 44!
May 02, 2019 01:52PM

866812 Week 2 of The Dragon Reborn, Chapters 15 to 29!

866812 Again, my apologies for being late. I had a death in the family but I'm back now!

Is it just me or does this read along seem to be going fast? We're already on book three, The Dragon Reborn. Cool title!

Here is week one. Please leave your comments on what you thought of prologue through to chapter 14 below.

866812 Welcome, John!

866812 This week we finish the second book. We’re storming through this!

We get to learn more of the Seanchan and the ending to this book is one of my favourites so far.

866812 Kane, I’m going to start doing that for The Dragon Reborn.
Apr 19, 2019 08:02AM

866812 I’m loving the idea of alternate dimensions and realities in this series.
Apr 16, 2019 09:45AM

866812 Ah! I'm late! My apologies.

Things really really pick up here in these chapters. We go from Rand and Loial getting attacked by dark friends and Trollocs. Ingtar, Mat, and Perrin's group meet with some Aiel. Domon makes a return as with him we meet some Seanchan invaders. Spoiler - they are evil AF!

I like the scenes with Rand, Loial, Hurin, and Selene. I find it funny that even Loial is smitten by Selene. The fireworks Rand used as a weapon in chapter 27 was pretty cool.

What are your thoughts?

866812 Very good insights, Misha. Thank you!!
Apr 10, 2019 09:36AM

866812 Ingtar really is obsessed with that horn. It’s like the dagger with Mat almost.

866812 This book just doesn’t let up once it’s gets moving. The action just doesn’t stop. I’m pretty sure that Liandran was probably in attendance at that gathering. Lol
