Excellent, Sandra! That’s exactly how I feel.

No one had commented on FoH so I thought the discussion had silently passed on. Thankfully I was wrong. I’m still going strong and I’m happy to see that others are as well. Onwards then!! Here’s the thread for book six, Lord of Chaos. Since we’re in the second half of the month, might as well have this one thread.

I was disappointed in Moraine’s death. It was so sad. But with a cast this size, some of the main ones have to go to keep things interesting. It’s funny how This is the second time Mat was killed to be brought back. Poor Mat!

I thought that there no longer any interest. Haha! I will add book six now.

Which books, Kristi?

The second half of FoH.

The Shadow Rising was incredible. Let’s see how this one holds up to it.
Because I’m so late I decided to split this book up into two discussion threads instead of four.

Thanks, Claudia.
I think The Dragon Reborn was the worst for this, especially on Perrin’s part. Book four, The Shadow Rising was truly where this series started picking up for me. There’s still whining but it’s much less. Some exciting things begin to happen in Shadow Rising as well.

I really didn’t see that coming when I first read it. 😂

I totally agree!
I think some readers maybe only want action or are just not prepared to learn about the Aiel.

Awesome! Welcome to the group!

What a fantastic ending!
I rated this book three stars ten years ago when I first read it. I bumped it up to five.
What did everyone think of this final conflicts?
I loved the battle of The Two Rivers with Parrin but that battle Rand had with the Forsaken felt a little sudden and forced to me.

Perrin plays a bigger role in this book, and perhaps a more mature one. I now see why I counted him a favourite before. Things are brewing in Two Rivers. And the fit is about to hit the shan, so to speak.

Within these chapters we learn a lot about the Aiel.
This is where we lose some readers. I think that it’s either you find yourself fascinated by the extent of this world’s history.
What do you guys think?

The White Tower is brilliant!

Misha, I’m on book four now and it is completely blowing me away! It is my favourite so far. I’m at a loss as to why I gave it only three stars the first time I read it.

I really like those parts with the dark one too. The dreams get weirder in future books.

That’s a tough one to answer. It really boils down to taste. I say stick with it and see. If you’re more interested in political intrigue, that’s coming. Same with the growth and development of the characters. There’s also great battles ahead. Also a very detailed world filled with different cultures.
It might not be grabbing you at this point because it all seems so familiar. If so, that’s because it is. As the books progress it really does become its own thing.
I hope that helps?

This is a big one folks! Fear not if it gets you behind.
This is the first set of chapters. One of my favourites from this part is the attack. We see some great things from Moraine and Especially Rand!

Excellent! Welcome to the group, Claudia!
