8565 I read Greed, which, like Marina, was not on my Shelf Bender plan. I liked it, as it was set in an area I knew, had a strong woman main character, and involved a topic (counterfeiting) that I did not know much about. 4*
8565 I have two that I want to try: Mexican Gothic and One for Sorrow: A Ghost Story.

There is one next pick that I also need to read for the horror shelf bender:Six Crimson Cranes. This is for a book I read earlier for paranormal.

8565 This particular game requires that you complete LOST 2024 first, since you use the date of completion to determine your books for this game.

Directions:
Read 10 books which were:
1. added to your TBR in the past 6 months AND
2. were published prior to the date you completed LOST 2024 (#1).

8565 HaHa! One of my chosen shelves for Cultural is Scotland! I doubt that I will get any books read for this that are planned, but I might read some unplanned ones. It depends on what is on my Kindle as I travel.

Right now I am suspending my participation in the monthly reads until I return.

8565 Wow! I surely have missed all the new people!

Welcome to Chacity, Maeve, and Stephani! Jump right in on any challenge that entices you. All books read since January 1 are eligible.

Chacity, I dip my toe into Romance but usually through the Mystery or Paranormal genres.

Maeve, I am also trying to not add more to my TBR than I knock off, but some challenges are not too helpful with that...especially Moving Mountains. My TBR does not often help me plan for that challenge! And, all those books everyone reads and likes!

Stephani, this group's challenges will stretch your reading genres...and get you to try genres that might be outside your comfort zone...but all is good.

8565 Congratulations, Joyce, upon the completion!

For me, Found is harder, also. I will be posting it in the next week or so. Good luck on completing it also.

8565 Wow! I forgot to plan for a fantasy book this month! And, it is one of my favorite genres.

Still, I managed to get a couple read that included fantasy in their MPG section.

Carry On is listed as Young Adult Fantasy. To me, it was more about the relationship between two young men...but, since one was a vampire...well, I guess fantasy! LOL. I really enjoyed this book, and the relationship flowed nicely into the story. 4*

The Map of Salt and Stars is Historical Fiction as well as Fantasy. Currently reading this one, and finding it very interesting as it is about a part of the world I know little about.

Susan, what a good idea!

8565 Tien, you are the most creative person I know...and probably one of the busiest! And, still you run this group. Let me know...when I return...how I can help. I have all the time in the world and really did enjoy helping out with 15 last year.

8565 How is everyone doing?

Myself...not so good with only 2 read.

I am leaving for a trip to Scotland soon and will not be back until the end of May. Usually I post the next game early in May. So, should I post in Mid-April or End of May? Please let me know which you prefer.

8565 Well, my trip is calling, and I am so far behind on this game (again) that I am dropping out. Maybe I will work on it another year.
