Wand:

Length:14 in
Wood: Hawthorn
Hawthorn
The wandmaker Gregorovitch wrote that hawthorn ‘makes a strange, contradictory wand, as full of paradoxes as the tree that gave it birth, whose leaves and blossoms heal, and yet whose cut branches smell of death.’ While I disagree with many of Gregorovitch’s conclusions, we concur about hawthorn wands, which are complex and intriguing in their natures, just like the owners who best suit them. Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses, and I have generally observed that the hawthorn wand seems most at home with a conflicted nature, or with a witch or wizard passing through a period of turmoil. Hawthorn is not easy to master, however, and I would only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire.
Core: Thestral Mane Hair and Basalisk Heartstring
Thestral Hair is known to be extremely powerful. It can repair broken wands and is known for its quality to be near impossible to defeat. Thestral wands stick to the allegiance of their Master until murder takes place...Murder is the only way a Thestral Hair core will side with another wizard. Only a person who has seen death itself can truly summon its full strengths.
Basilisk wands are incredibly rare, as the beasts are rare to begin with and hard to kill. Due to the rarity, they often are passed down from generation to generation, so basilisk-core wands are either the heirloom of Slytherin-type Pureblood families or reforged wands from family cores. The occasional new basilisk wand will almost always bond to a Parselmouth or budding Dark Wizard. Very little good comes out of wielders of basilisk wands.
but perhaps with the Thestral hair entertwined with this, dark arts are more prone with the core and wood but the Thestral core is far too powerful that once a variety of healing magic is performed with immense strength the wand could be shifted to be a bit more progressive magic leaving it to be in the Grey area of power shifting with outburst of dark arts and the control of white healing magics.
Pet(Limit 3 pets, one must be an Owl):
a Kneazel named Basil
A Jarvey named JabbersCurrent Family: his Father who is DADA professor and his mother who is Minister for Magic. He is the great-grandson of Draco Malfoy and lives in the old Malfoy Manor.
Crush (optional): open to both
Other: He is a pareselmouth
he Ministry of Magic - Internal WorkingsThe following are answers to frequently asked questions about the Ministry of Magic, especially those concerning our sim.
1. What is the Ministry of Magic?
The Ministry of Magic is the Wizarding Government in the United Kingdom, a successor to the previous government, known as the Wizards' Council. Other countries have their own form of Wizarding government.
2. Who runs the Ministry of Magic?
The head of the Ministry is called the Minister of Magic. His name is Kingsley Shacklebolt (appointed in 1998), and he is a Non-player Character - meaning that he is heard, but not seen. No person will play him, as he is a canon character, but he will still issue his decrees and comments via mass owls, statements to the press, and through his underlings.
3. What are the departments in the Ministry?
The Ministry is made up of seven departments. These are overseen by several officers - the Minister of Magic, Senior Undersecretary, Junior Undersecretary, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, and the Supreme Mugwump.
The seven departments are as follows:
The Department of Magical Law Enforcement
Arguably the most important of the various departments (at least to its members), this one is a combination of police-like and justice facilities, and is similar to the FBI of Muggle America. This department includes:
- The Aurors, the elite group of dark wizard hunters.
- The Improper Use of Magic Office, which punishes wizards for using magic in violation of magical laws.
- The Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office, which regulates the use of magic on Muggle objects. The goal of this office is to keep enchanted items away from unsuspecting Muggles.
- The Wizengamot, which is the wizarding world's court of law and assembly, presided over by the Minister and the Chief Warlock/Witch, and comprised of some of the UK's finest wizards. No lawyers are involved, the trials are rather quick. Witnesses are examined for both sides. The Wizengamot only oversees cases of great importance, smaller cases are dealt with by a single questioner.
The Department of Magical Games and Sports
Seen as the most relaxed department, it deals with such sports-related pastimes as organizing the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. Members of this department will be involved with the aspects of the professional Quidditch teams, and not those in Hogwarts.
The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
This department is responsible for repairing accidental magical damage. It is located on the third level of the Ministry of Magic and houses the following offices:
- The Accidental Magical Reverse Squad: a squad of wizards whose job it is to reverse "accidental magic," which is normally magic performed by young witches and wizards who have not learned to control their magic or even older wizards out of control, or severe, unintentional effects of charms or spells, such as splinching.
- The Obliviators: An Obliviator is the designation for a Ministry of Magic employee who has the task of modifying the memory of a Muggle after witnessing incidents belonging to the magic world.
- The Muggle-worthy Excuse Committee: Explains away any magical accidents or occurrences which can't be magically cleared up or completely removed from the minds of Muggles, or which Muggles don't develop their own explanation for.
The Department of Magical Transportation
This department is responsible for various aspects of magical transport, including Portkeys, the Floo Network, and the Apparation Test Centre (grants licenses to witches and wizards so they can apparate).
The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
It is divided into three divisions ("Being", "Beast" and "Spirit") and contains liaison offices for goblins and centaurs, though the centaurs, being isolationists, have never interacted with the Centaur Liaison Office since its creation. Thus, "being sent to the Centaur Office" has become a euphemism at the Ministry for those about to be fired.
- Beast Division: Centaur Liaisons, Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, Werewolf Registry, and the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures, who often work with Aurors.
- Being Division: Office for House-Elf Relocation, Werewolf Support Services, Goblin Liaisons.
- Spirit Division: Ghoul Task Force, Pest Advisory Board.
The Department of International Magical Cooperation (UK Branch)
The Department of International Magical Cooperation is an agency that, as its name suggests, tries to get wizards from different countries to cooperate. The British International Confederation of Wizards is based here, as are offices that regulate international magical law. This department on the fifth level of the Ministry of Magic includes the headquarters of:
- The International Magical Trading Standards Body.
- The International Magical Office of Law.
- The International Confederation of Wizards, British Seats.
The Department of Mysteries
The Department of Mysteries is, as its name suggests, a department within the Ministry of Magic building that deals with studying enigmas. It carries out most of its operations in total secrecy. Few wizards within the ministry actually know what is located within this department. Those wizards who work in the Department of Mysteries are called the Unspeakables.
4. Which positions in the Ministry are played IC?
The officers are as follows:
- The Minister of Magic - The head of the Wizarding community. He or she rules over the Wizengamot, and runs the Ministry of Magic. This a Non-player Character.
- Senior Undersecretary - Position held by Dolores Umbridge before her arrests. They assist the Minister in his or her duties, and is allowed to sit beside the Minister during trials held by the Wizengamot. The Senior Undersecretary is appointed by the Minister.
- Junior Undersecretary - An honourable position, in which one assists the Minister and Senior Undersecretary. An appointed position by the Minister.
- The Chief Warlock/Witch of the Wizengamot - The Wizengamot is both a judicial and legislative council, and this position can be likened to the Chief Justice and Speaker of the House. The CWoW is mostly independent from the Ministry, and only answers to the Minister. Appointed by the Minister. This is a Non-player Character.
- The Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of the Wizards - The ICoW can be likened to the United Nations, and the Supreme Mugwump can be likened to the Secretary-General.
