The Atlas is a series of nested international, globe-trotting stories, from what I understand of it. I am tempted to believe that it will be the next Vollmann that I pick up.

The Rifles is volume six in the Seven Dreams series, but published third.
Argall: The True Story of Pocahontas and Captain John Smith is the third volume of the Seven Dreams series. It is written in Elizabethan English, with Shakespeare well situated upon the writer's desk.

Fathers and Crows is the second installment of the Seven Dreams series, and was indicated by Bill at one point in his career as the book of which he was most proud.
The Ice-Shirt is the first installment of the Seven Dreams series. It was my first encounter with Vollmann and cause of my conversion.
