Artwork, of course! I love some of these names/handles:
@chthonic_altar and @frazettagirls

I was just curious which other social media groups members balance. For instance, I jump between
(1) this Goodreads group @ http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/8...
(2) A variety of Facebook sites
[The Sword and Sorcery League] @ https://www.facebook.com/swordsandsor...
[Sword and Soul] @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/15348...
[Grimdark Readers & Writers] @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/grimd...
(3) Blog Websites, like https://www.blackgate.com/ ... and specific author websites
(4) Kickstarter (ie I follow a variety of creators and other backers to survey new products)
Other platfroms that exist:
... more?
One can only participate in a select few (even as a "listener" only). So please chime in and identify/discuss other groups you are in that have overlapping interest with Sword & Sorcery groupies.

Welcome David. Have a look around the folders and feel free to extend any conversation. We have groupreads ... usually 2 topics... two months each. Right now (thru June) there is one for Moorcock and one for Leiber. We are also poll-ing for the next two-month reads, asking folks to identify obscure books.... then we'll try to find/read as many as we can as group.
The Poll is at the bottom of the group's homepage and here..

Fletcher summarizes the tales. Nice short story about Imaro's mother in there.
Nyumbani Tales

Joseph, agreed that Whelan covers rock and are iconic.
I am fascinated with Jade Man's Eyes. Thanks for bringing tht one up.
I have Flashing Swords! #2 which has that story (which I liked); but it is unclear how that material got dispersed into other stories. Looks like it was written in 1973, after most of the stories were written (but befoer Sailors on the Seas of Fate). I need to look into that more. Did that story get inserted "whole" into Sailors? If so, I would think it would be called out as a chapter.

That was easy! Moorcock writes consolidated page turners!

Was curious if anyone was starting from the beginning or has comments about the story sequence? Fortress was was one of the last to be written, but is second in the series.
Moorcock delivers souls for Arioch, and classic Elric in Fortress.

If the crew here had to pick, which one should I try?

I recall having trouble getting into "The Revenge of the Rose" , but I can't recall why. Am interested in learning your take.

Nyumbani Tales
New Saunders!
From Milton Davis:
"Charles Saunders is the creator of the first Black Sword and Sorcery hero Imaro and founder of the sub-genre of Sword and Soul. In Nyumbani Tales, Charles has gathered previously published stories that expand the world of Nyumbani beyond the exciting exploits of his hero, filling in the details of this unique world with the triumphs, failures, loves and losses of the people that inhabit its amazing borders. This is vintage Sword and Sorcery and a must read for all fans of the genre."

So I think you can reprint old stories without permission , but not make Conan movies :(
