Please remember the commitment you are making to your fellow group members. If you pull out after the start date for any reason it is the other members who will be faced with the problem of finding a replacement, or missing out on reads/reviews, through no fault of their own. Please don’t ask the moderators to chase after replacements as we just don’t have the time.

It is the responsibility of the author to get their book to their readers in a format the reviewer can manage. Everyone must be able to provide and accept PDF. You may buy or borrow the books you are due to read if you wish, and I’m sure the author will appreciate the verified review, but IT IS NOT COMPULSORY. There are no set dates for the start of each round. You can each work at your own pace, within the limits of the round deadlines.

All reviews must be posted to GR. We also encourage members to post on Amazon. When you have posted your reviews, please post the links to each of your reviews, not the book page in this thread.
The mod of each round will record whether members have posted reviews on Amazon and for the good of all, members who persistently fail to post reviews or DNF reviews to Amazon, will find mods less than willing to add them to subsequent groups.

Postings to other sites are by agreement by both author and reviewer.

If I’ve missed something that results in you being asked to review someone who has already reviewed you, please let me know asap.

To exchange book files, my advice is to use PM to give email addresses to each other (save the chance of spammers getting your addies from this open forum).

Setting up and modding these rounds is a labour of love, with a lot of emphasis on the ‘labour’. If you want to show appreciation for all the hard work we admins put in for the group, you could download one of our books as a ‘thank you’.

Great! Everyone has said that they are ready! Give me a little while, and I will have the assignments posted.

Once review assignments are posted, it is your responsibility to contact your 8 people.

Contact them via messenger. Under their picture there is a button that says "Follow" next to that button is a little v. Click that, and choose "Send Message". If anyone does not have "Send Message" they are not set up to get messages. Leave a message here. It is an easy fix.

In Messenger:

For the people you are to review, give them your email so that you can get their book. They may only be able to send PDF, but if they have MOBI or EPUB and you prefer one of these other two formats, you may ask them.

For the people who are to review you, ask them for their email so you can get their book and and ask them what format they prefer. (PDF, MOBI, or EPUB) If you only have PDF, let them know this.

EVERYONE needs to be able to send and receive at least PDFs. But some people have/prefer MOBIs or EPUBs as well.

DO NOT post emails here, since this is a public thread and doing so increases your chances of spam.

Some people choose to purchase the books they are to read, or get them on KU. While appreciated, it is not necessary.

I have checked both above and below me, and I am good to go.

PLEASE READ EVERYONE, THIS IS IMPORTANT.

Those of your who are brand new, this does not apply. However, do pay attention because this will become relevant as you participate more and more.

So because of review conflicts, I have had to move a few people around.

Thanks to Terry's suggestion, I moved Terry down two spots, and David and Amanda up so that Amanda and Balroop are in each other's blind spot.

Because of this change, I will need you to check the four spots ABOVE you and the four spots BELOW you.

Do not rely on your memory!
To check if the four people below you have ever reviewed you, go to their profile. Under their picture, click on their reviews. A page will come up with the books they have read. Level with Author's Name > Books is a search bar. In that search bar, type your full name or any pen name you have ever used. If a book you have written comes up, the person HAS reviewed you before. Immediately let me know.

To check if you have ever read anyone above you, go to your own profile, click on your reviews under your picture, and one by one, in the search bar level with Your Name Books type the full names of the 4 authors above you. Make sure you get spelling correct, and the full name. (You don't want to mistake Ann Birdgenaw for Terry Birdgenaw, for example.) If any of their books come up, you HAVE reviewed that person before. Immediately let me know.

We'll need to start roll call again, so please sound off.
Do not say Good to Go until you have THOROUGHLY checked both above and below you.

Welcome, William! Have you participated in these reading groups before? If not, then you don't have any conflicts. If you have, then please state who in this group has read or been read by you.

In an effort to keep reviews honest, ethical, and unbiased, this group does not allow reciprocal reviews. If someone has reviewed you before, you cannot later review them back per the rules of this group. The reason for that is because them having reviewed you, could potentially affect your review for them either positively or negatively and your review could be unbiased. To avoid that possibility, we do not allow people to review others who have reviewed them. Also, Amazon tracks reciprocal reviews and deletes them anyway.
