Hmm... I know, I know - it's like a drug tho! Must add more to the TBR list, watch it grow! Soon it'll have it's own area code! I don't know how many I'll get through this month, I'm trying to get the first chapter of my new story done as well as read all the indie authors at the start of my TBR list and offer reviews.
I would be happy with 15, more than that would be awesome!
Having said that though, I am not sure if it's achievable or not. We'll have to see :D
How about you?
@Mish - and the frantic adding of last minute books to the already huge mountain of books on my TBR list hahah!
It feels a little bit like 'quick I'll just add this one to my TBR list before May' hehe It feels a little naughty :)I so didn't add another 5 or so new books to the end of my TBR list over the last week, nope, wasn't me! *looks innocently about*
Ok, I'm gonna have to ask and risk sounding like a fool, coz I have no idea...How does one get the grey italicised text after their name?
E.g. Laura, Tigger?
Here's a couple of my own...Picture of Pain
Look into my eyes and see my soul naked and bare,
See my sadness and know you will have a place there.
place your hand on my chest and feel my heart shatter,
So many nightmares, which one caused it? Nothing does matter.
Watch my tears leak from my pain, and feel their dark reflection,
Sense my anguish and the need for my blood's expelled rejection.
As my mouth makes a perfect picture of pain,
Look into my eyes and see my tears like rain.
And as my soul silently screams, dying to be heard,
Unless you see my pain and sorrow, I'll not say a word.
Your Sadness Mirrored
The coldness of an angry lover makes you cry,
You've lost his love, but still no closure, wonder why?
Lying in her arms helped you with the coping,
All the while wishing for his love, always hoping.
She strokes your back with a friendly tenderness,
You wish for a comfort that is warm and genderless.
Held tightly, you toss in your sleep,
The wounds he's caused have cut you deep.
You see your sadness mirrored in her stare,
She will be the one that is always there.
When they leave you, crying and alone,
All you have to do is pick up the phone.
Let her see your soul break in two,
She will be there to comfort you.
When you lose your heart in their demands,
There she'll be, with hers in her hands.
B
I wish to bite into your hopes and dreams,
Releasing your exploding expressions with your screams.
I want to taste your blood, like wine,
I wish to mix your life with mine!
Clear Glass Prison
Trapped in my glass cage, surrounded by my addiction,
Within my heart struggles a conflict, no affection.
Nowhere to turn, no place to run and hide,
Just the clear glass prison with me inside.
My heart breaks as you watch me smile,
There is no love in my heart, hasn't for a while.
I'm happy for an instant, but still the tears fall,
Where in my life did I fail, why do I feel so small?
Why can't I turn my back and say goodbye to you?
How come I still believe I love you true?
Woo! Started on the gifted e-books from authors well and truly now, but... I went and posted that I'd do reviews for a copy of the book, and I've had to add another 18 books to my TBR list. It's still sitting at 1530, but I've managed to read 5 books (currently on #6) since I've been travelling (just over two weeks now) gotta love those long plane rides!I'm hoping to get to #10 before I get home... not that it'll impact my TBR list, I have another 7 books from authors in my inbox that I still need to add - oh dear! A reader's work is never done :D
Trust what Brenda says Alayne - look what happened to my TBR list!! over 1500!! Eeep!haha - only joking, AR didn't do it, I am a bookaholic! :P
It's good to see that others also didn't enjoy the last book, just like I did. I wondered if I was being a bit harsh with my review, but I simply felt like Suzanne had really let us down with the ending. Can't wait for the movie - should be FANTASTIC!
I pretty much will read anywhere... but my favourite place would have to be either in the recliner in the lounge room or snuggled up in bed.
what can I say?! I am a sucker for punishment :P It certainly isn't for the younger generation though. It can be quite explicit in both adult nature and in regard to violence, which is sooo opposite to what I like to read. Oh well :)
I am a bit like you Brenda, I don't re-read a lot of books, unless they blew me away or I didn't quite get it...Having said that, my re-read shelf is steadily growing, but at a much, much slower rate than the books I'm getting read.
One of the books that did make it to my re-read shelf (and I've actually re-read 4 times) is
I have a leather cover with light from Amazon, and I wouldn't give it up for anything! It has lasted me for well over a year (this is my 3rd kindle and 3rd cover from Amazon...just can't seem to stop buying them!! :D ). They are well worth paying for! I use the built in light nearly every day and it hasn't impacted on battery life either.I simply can't recommend the Amazon cover enough!
yep - just one... or two, or three, maybe four... all the way to 1500 or so :)No self control when it comes to books, real or electronic
Much easier to store than paper books!! I think all up I probably have around 400-500 in books, the rest are now electronic! I had to do a big clean out when I got my kindle!! Just so much easier to carry around several hundred books with you when they are on the kindle :)
not all of them Brenda, but I would say more than 90% of them I own - tho most of them are kindle books.
