Great to see you here, Lori! I admire the fact that you are branching out in so many directions, crossing boundaries between all forms of art! I invite you to offer your thoughts about the creative process.

Also, please feel free to offer excerpts of your prose and poetry in the Writing discussion board, and post reviews of your work (by others) and your reviews of other books in the Reviews discussion board.

We are ALL learning! A year a go I knew next to nothing about how to publish a book... Oh what a brave new world!

67670 Oh and I think that a good story is a good story no matter how many words it has. In my own writing, I give great attention to every paragraph, every turn of phrase, and the story as a whole ends up having as many words as it needs to be told well...

67670 Aniruddha, you're on a roll! This is the first time I learned about your love story, Love Connection--and that you published it on CreatSpace/Amazon! Good for you, what an accomplishment.

And about your blog post, I truly like the down-to-earth, humble tone. You have grown into your craft. Onward and upward!

67670 It was such a pleasure, and an honor too, to be invited for a chat with Lisette Brodey, the author of Crooked Moon, Molly Hacker Is Too Picky! and Squalor, New Mexico.

Just being here, at Lisette Writer's Chateau, makes you feel as if you have arrived from a ride at the French countryside, the gate opens before you and now a place is cleared beside her in front of the fireplace, where a little flame is dancing before your eyes...

67670 Wow! It's Here! It's finally here!

This is a magical moment for me, one I have been waiting for! Apart From Love the audiobook edition, is finally out! Highly praised 5-star novel, 48 reviews:

"There is a quality so deep and raw in Apart from Love that it's almost impossible to put this book down. In my opinion, Uvi Poznansky writes like a painter. She starts with a clean canvas and dabs a little paint here and a little paint there as she develops her characters and creates her masterpiece. Her strokes then become broader, more passionate, more vivid and vibrant as she continues to let her characters' stories unfold. She draws you in to a deeper level than you might actually want to go as she ignites the fire to your own love, passions, and fears."

Treat yourself to gift! Download the audiobook:

This review is from: Once upon a Rhyme (Paperback)
Koyel Mitra, the author of this superb and wide-ranging collection of poems, makes two statements that are really questions. "Nowadays free verse is reigning supreme in the world of poetry...Writing poetry in a specific form has become almost outdated." Can a modern author bridge the seemingly un-bridgeable gap between modernity and classicism?
It is true that current masters of the genre such as Mary Oliver, with Thirst and Dream Work are extremely popular, and rightly so. Her prose is near-perfect and her themes are deep and eternal.
Ms. Mitra probes the possibilities of these themes, as well as a host of others, in Once Upon a Rhyme. Witness Santa losing his way in aa, bb, cc, couplet and be charmed, or shiver with man, trees, and animals in the harshness of winter in Double Ethere. Deep yearning in Monotetra, eternal love in Quatern. Name it, Ms. Mitra explores and discovers caves of beauty worthy of any meter. Once Upon a Rhyme is a worthy piece of brilliance, a diamond to be added to every collection of serious and perfectly crafted poetry. Ten stars on the scale of five.

Kogel, your book is shown here:

The best advice I can offer to you is this: you should achieve a 'librarian' status. Then you'll be able to upload your own cover pic, and update the book details.

Thank you so much Koyel for thinking about me, I am truly flattered, but at the moment, my projects and the burden of promoting my books are quite overwhelming... As for the author program, I am not sure which particular program you are thinking about, but if you have a specific question, please post it. Perhaps I--or someone else here--can find the answer.

67670 I am so thrilled that my interview with Author Alliance has gone live! I loved the way it opened, with this question:

I understand that that your father was a great influence on you becoming a writer?

I started telling stories and composing poems before I knew how to hold a pen between my fingers. My father, a poet, writer and artist, would write these for me, and even quote words I invented. He would ask me to help him rhyme his poems, and later on, when I was twenty years old, he asked me to give him a selection of my poems, for inclusion in a book of poetry he was about to publish...
