It will be summertime and this prompt just screams
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by
Ann Brashares to me. It's a great YA novel.
M.Sollene wrote: "great, then I'll probably read this book in like mid April or smthng. looking forward to talking about it with everyone 😊"Looking forward to it as well.

I will probably be reading this at the end of April (I am saving it for the Dewey's 24-hour read-a-thon) but I'm really looking forward to it. Honestly, it was the cover that inspired me to look it up initially. *Yes I judge books by their covers lol* Then I read what it was about and thought it sounded great so I grabbed a copy. We'll see how it turns out. I look forward to discussing it with everyone!

I still need to read this. The month is going by too fast.

I will join Finding Nouf in June as well.

Also, thank you SarahKat for suggesting this book. It was the ideal short read to help re-introduce me to buddy reading after a hiatus.

I finished. It was a super easy, quick read. I enjoyed it.

So I ended up being wrong about the victim completely but once Simon dropped dead, I figured out what was going on (eventually) and figured out whodunnit lol
I liked India. I wish I had a fairy godmother type who wanted to throw money at me an hour after meeting me! I liked the idea of Alligators as pets. Usually, it's cats or dogs as the animals in cozies so this is a change. Josie seemed cute though once she grows up she'll be ferocious I'm sure.
Darla was a little bland and not so fleshed out as a main character. That's probably my biggest complaint. We don't know much about her or care too much about her when all is said and done. At least I don't.
I love the idea of a food truck as the basis for a cozy mystery series. A mobile business seems like it can lead to some interesting places. I might read another one or two in this series. (hide spoiler)]

June/July for IT. awesome. Thanks.

I started it. It's a quick read.
Chapter 4
(view spoiler)[I believe we just met the murder victim. Anytime a character is OTT nasty in temperament in a cozy mystery, they are going to be killed off. That's a cozy rule lol So, goodbye Rhonda ;) I bet Darla will be the main suspect too. Another cozy rule is at some point in the series (sometimes the first book) the protagonist will be suspected of doing the deed. It's a formula that's familiar but it keeps us coming back for more. I've been meaning to read it for some time now, but it's so long I keep putting it off.
I was thinking perh..."I would be willing to join for June provided we could carry it over to July too if necessary. A book that thick I know will take me a while to finish.
