So glad September was so much better! I've heard of Cloud Atlas and have been rather intimidated. But you do make it sound intriguing.

Yep, I know what you mean! I've made lists of books I'm going to read this year. I've read a lot of books but not from those lists!
Sorry to hear about the reading slump! So glad you're out of it and back to reading again! You've got this!

I'm glad it's been great despite being a weird reading year.

I think I am going to wait and see with Popsugar. It was the first big reading challenge I did and there's a bit of a not wanting to let go. I'm also hoping that there might be changes next year as people were not happy with the challenge this year.
The Goodreads bookmark challenges are fun to get. I've been earning them unintentionally. Bc the couple of times I did try to read a book for a bookmark, I didn't get them. 😔
And I've finally started A Court of Silver Flames. I'm enjoying it, but I am missing Feyre and Rhysand...

Bc yay, more great books to read!"..."Thank you! Looks great! I've added it to my TBR. And even better that it's a series. Apparently I'm addicted to serial reading bc more than half my books read this year were part of a series.

hahaha, I think you're hitting that goal, too!!

I hope you're enjoying your 2025 reads, and discovering new favorite books and authors..."I'm so glad! I hope you enjoy them, if you do read them. So truth be told, it took a few reads (at different stages in life) and watching the movie (2005) a couple of times before I truly appreciated Pride and Prejudice. Now I pick up something every time I read it. I guess that's why it's a classic. 😁
Yay! Congratulations on hitting your goal, Laura! Great job! Thanks for the recommendations! Mystery and historical fiction is right up my alley. And I keep meaning to read The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. My libraries have finally added the audiobook to Libby.
I have a newfound love for graphic novels/manga/manhwas, so among my favorites this year are Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (Novel) Vol. 1 (novel and manhwas), Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Vol. 1, and Lore Olympus: Volume Six. I've also enjoyed James, In an Absent Dream, Yellowface, and The Brides of High Hill. And I cannot leave out my re-read of Pride and Prejudice.

It's always a pleasant surprise when holds come in sooner than expected! Well, unless they come in all at once. Then it's like what do I read first!?!
Have fun with the monthly and quarterly challenges!
Woohoo! Congratulations on hitting your goal, Kelly! You rocked your first challenge! What did you think of the Blake Crouch books? I thought Dark Matter and Recursion were such mindbenders! I really should read more of his books.
I've been enjoying my reading; however I'm afraid I left all my big books for the end of the year and it's a bit overwhelming. I'm currently reading two 500+ page books and listening to a 26 hour audiobook. I've got no one to blame but myself. 🤦🏻

I'm glad that you've gotten some ideas and motivation! And thank you. I think it'll be a bit easier once I'm finally finished with all the Hercule Poirot books — there's 39 of them, not including the short story collections!

Of course it is an anime. I found in on Hulu. Will have to add it to my watchlist. I've only recently started getting into the world of mangas and manhwas, so there's a lot I'm not familiar with. Dark, moody, gothic sounds great. Oddly enough my library has it with the Summer Reading collection, which I'm going to have to ask for, if I remember. 🤷🏻
Hi Aved! It's never too late! Looks like you're crushing your goal. You're almost there! I hope you are enjoying your reading journey. You have some great books on your list. The Finlay Donovan series is such a fun read. I've been working on The Trials of Apollo series and am up to The Tower of Nero. I was laughing out loud within the first pages of Book Lovers over the book tropes. And The House in the Cerulean Sea is such a heartwarming book. I hope you enjoyed them all, too.
Woohoo! Congratulations on hitting your goal, Rachael! Well done! Hope you are enjoying your 2025 books, and discovering new favorite authors and books!
Hope you’re getting closer to your goal and enjoying your 2025 reads, Maria! And I did end up listening to Shot Through the Book by Eva Gates instead of reading the book. I enjoyed it. There was so much going on.
