Sounds like a desperately aroused gay guy?
*laughs*
@Oleg I don't eat candy that has high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oil so I'm totally with you... and the pictured labels are probably from twenty years ago when "artificial" meant... hell, God only knows what, actually.

(Just for the record, I hate these things.)

It'll be worth the wait. I promise. ;)

(Aren't you glad I didn't sign that commission in the Air Force... LMFAO.)

I saw it right away. Though, might be a professional thing.. I'll leave you two alone to stare at it, lol."
It's all in your level of sensitivity--what you "train" your eyes to see, and your subconscious perceptions, right? I'd posted this elsewhere and got a response of, "what's with the plain black square." =)

*jump and squeeze tight* Best pre-Christmas present EVER!"
Uh. In case there was some confusion. We haven't been writing the sequel. These were things that were planned when DEoH was initially finished. LOL.

(I'm still looking for the blue, I've only ever seen the red and green.)

But anyway, here--have another excerpt from a guest blog appearance. This time, part of a deleted scene:
Flight of the Elementals, Part 1.

Titled "Why Riptide-Joining the Wave."
Not too late to go drop a comment and enter the drawing. Or, you know, laugh at my rambling. =)

You aren't the only one who noticed something between Nikishin and Ulyanov. We actually had to cut huge chunks of scenes and rewrite them because the two of them were totally stealing the show every time they walked onto the page. =)
A lot of people have expressed a character disconnect or a lack of engagement through the first portion of the story, I would love to figure out what was missing, what "went wrong" so to speak. Guess that's part of what this is.

What aspect of the story did you struggle with the most?
There are a number of themes that surface through the course of the novel, and many of them are the kind that "trigger" things for people. Or maybe it's a facet of the story that has glommed to the inside of your brain and won't go away no matter how hard you scrub?

(You'll LOL ... unless your funny bone's busted.)

Oh yes, DEoH2 needs written. I'm still brainstorming ideas for that one.
And then. We shall write. ...

I can pay you with coffee? I make divine caffeine. Dark roast, teetering toward almost a little too strong with hand-whipped heavy cream, and sprinkled generously with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cocoa.
