57356 Ladies, the time is whining down on our 3rd book and the discussion will continue through the week. I hope everyone had a chance to try the Sangria and the Pizza Dip. I must say I haven't tried the pizza dip but planning on having it this weekend but I did try the Sangria I have to say even though it was a lil sweet for me I loved the fruit and will make it again.

Rickele you are next in line to pick our fourth book, drink, and recipe. If you could please post it by this weekend so everyone can have a chance to finish the 3rd book and get the 4th book of your choice.

57356 Augusten was normal until he started being okay with the Drs. way of living. He had standards before.

Indeed the "doctor" needed a Doctor as well as his wife and his 2 other women.

The only thing I can agree with the doctor on is his view on Anger. I'm all about expressing my anger and allowing my kids to let it out in a respectable matter that is. That is Health!!! I feel so much matter when I let it all out:-)

57356 For me it just shows when someone is sick and alone how vulernable they can be. For Deirdre, to not be able to process something wasn't right with the doctor after seeing his family and living situation is alarming. I think it was easy for her because he was an ear and a shoulder in her time of need so she was blinded by what was going on around her.

57356 You know watching the movie is not a bad idea. I agree for this to be a real life story is hard to wrap my head around. To think that all this chaos was going on in one individuals life is unreal. It goes back to counting your blessings because it could be worst. I found some of the sayings pretty funny as well. Now, tell the truth how many of you guys wanted to try the bible dip? (with my hand up:-)

57356 I'm almost done reading the book but I was just wondering who all finished the book and how did they feel about the first few chapters?

As for me, I found the book did not keep my attention like I expected from the reviews. I find the pace very slow. For, me I still haven't found the point of the story besides he had a rough childhood and was surronded by a lot of weird people.

Tell me what you guys think...

57356 Tried the Sangria and must say it was pretty good so if you haven't tried yet you should. I must say I couldn't find the simple syrup but it was sweet enough without it.
