Knightmare nodded and got up. He sat with Sunshine and took the apple juice glass back and quickly swallowed a gulp.

((Night!))

He had been walking down the hall, his head hung after his most recent break-up (with the chemistry teacher). He hadn't really been paying attention to where he was going when he ran into the girl, that red-headed cheerleader. She was wearing her uniform, short skirt and all. There must've been a football game that night, he had decided. The girl, who he had known from one term of world history together, was Jessa Jackson. She had smiled hugely at him and apologized for running into him. He had barely replied two words. The boy that was with her had scowled and pulled her on down the hall. He didn't have a clear picture in his head of the boy but he knew that it must've been Sunshine.
"Yeah, I've seen Jessa once or twice," he said then.

Knightmare's jaw went slack again. He gulped. "Drama club, huh?" he asked, breathing a small sigh of relief that Sunshine hadn't said uncle seeing as how he had dated every single male teacher at HSH. "I don't do activities." He began to wonder if he had perhaps seen Sunshine while at school. He thought about it for a few moments and decided he would find out, at least, if Sunshine had any connection to him. "So, Sunshine, do you know of an albino boy named Stacy? He's a real angel."

Knightmare began to panic. Were street racers supposed to reveal information like that? What harm can it do? I live in Locksley and this is clearly Strike. He's probably never even heard of my high school, he thought. "I go to Hidden Springs High, it's a private school. . ."
((I got to go. School tomorrow!))

((Every time I type "Sunshine" I think of the boy from the movie Remember the Titans))

Knightmare couldn't help but blush as he took Sunshine's hand. "So. . ." he said, not quite sure what he should talk about. It had been easy to have a conversation with Twister due to Eternal but here. . . "So what was that about?" he decided to ask, tossing his head in the direction Spin had gone.

Knightmare flinched, his hand jerking and spilling some of the juice onto the table. "It's Knightmare," he said. "I'm from Locksley. . . Ranger brought me here."

Spin frowned and looked at his watch. "It's about time that I have to be going," he said and promptly left, obviously put off by the rejection.
Knightmare took a sip of the juice he had ordered.

Spin leaned closer, his lips brushing Sunshine's ear. "I don't want to give too much of the surprise ending away," he whispered, his breath caressing Sunshine's ear.
Knightmare almost gagged. The older racer reminded him of so many of his exes.

Knightmare looked around, wondering at the decor. One would think street racers would have a nicer hang. He turned at the sound of Sunshine's voice, instantly enthralled. He walked over nonchalantly and dropped into the chair next to him. He studied the table as he listened.
The old racer grunted at first then turned to see Sunshine. "Oh, just about everything this world has to offer," he replied with a grin. "If you come back to my place I can give you an encore."
