Me: But like in the real world what's it used for.

My mom: High school math. I just said that.

Me: No, like is it used in science or anything?

My mom: Yeah, sure. Just like you're actually going to need to use y=mx+b to chart sales growth in your bakery.

I think that kids are smarter than adults sometimes because they don't complicate things. I'm over here making some long equation and then there's some kindergartner who's like duhh.

I don't like snow. I like summer. Scranton is reallly pretty when it snows though. /random

Our library isn't bad, it's just that it's not in walking distance... And every time I want a book it got checked out like the day before and someone placed a hold on it and I'm like nooooo I can't wait 6 weeks!!

(Just finished the third book. JL+CF+ Perfection.)

That's my take on Harry Potter. And when iread The Hunger Games (a few months before the craze hit) it was one of the first dystopian novels I'd ever read. Since then I've read a lot more and while the Hunger Games has a cool storyline the actual writing isn't that great. I much prefer The Uglies and Divergent. Divergent is my book. Tobias is my husband. Don't argue or I may have to shoot a muffin off your head.

Guys!! I'm having a really awesome day! On Saturday there was a SciOly tournament and I got first in Crimebusters!!! Today we had a meeting to find out how we placed in the other events that we didn't medal (1-3) in. I got 4th in Keep the Heat!! Which I totally wasn't expecting since the test was really hard and our predicted temp. was 10 degrees off. I got 9th in Shock Value!! I thought we did wayyyyy worse in this becuase we screwed up one of the labs and our notes were really crappy. And we got 10th in Sound of Music!!! I honestly thought we would've gotten worse just because the other instruments looked insanely complicated. Ahhhh I know most of you don't know what I'm talking about but I really needed to rant!
