*grin* "sex and the alien" I like that! We've talked about it before, of course, but that was our biggest concern with the book. How to maintain Harry's basic alienness without losing our readers in the process.

I'm thrilled with the story that came out of it, so if it starts to happen again, I won't try to stop it, but until it does, I'm going to keep my schedule since I made it for a reason.

Not always, I will admit. The Inventor's Companion refused to honor anything, but the ice skating story hasn't grabbed hold of me that way yet.

LOL-- Okay-- hockey really is a brutal sport--I can see the attraction. Now I'm going to wait and see wha..."
I can't promise how soon it will be. I have several projects lined up before it, but it's definitely on my radar now.

Wrestling, like WWF wrestling, or wrestling like on the competitive high school and college teams?

And there's just something about soccer players. Soccer players and swimmers have some of the best bodies around!

I loved my skating lessons (for 6 years!), I also got a chance to ogle the hocke..."
Okay, now that's an idea I could actually play with, especially since I already had the beginnings of an ice skating plot. This definitely adds some depth to it.

Why am I not surprised that's your answer? *grin*

*grin* You'll have to see if Lord Stuart is willing to share. Or if Gabriel will make you a new one.

Do you set a goal for yourself each day? Such as, I will make x word count today. Also, when you start to write a..."
Hi, Lauralynn,
I do have a standard goal of 2500 words per day, although I adjust it if I know I have other things going on that would make that difficult.
As for plotting, I always have an idea where the story will go, but I've discovered that I can't plan more than a scene or two ahead of where I'm writing because my characters tend to have other ideas. They'll go along with a general plot overview, but they want to invent the details themselves.

Thanks, zee. I do have a few gadgets. A mechanical dog, a mechanical fan, a flying chair... and of course my trademark angst.

I hope you will soon too! It's an interesting genre, new in so many ways, and yet it's been around since Jules Verne. It just had a different name then.

Welcome, Melanie! I agree about the cover, and you're entered!
