I was actually won in a charity auction, I believe it was for Haiti, and Phil, who won me, had this idea for a sprawling family saga. It snowballed from there... and the bacon wrapped in aspirin line was all his! It was a really exciting process, and a wholly new way of writing... and it raised money for charity!
