Hey all - hope you are doing well. Just wanted everyone who took part in the Lost Lore Readalong to know that my next book is available for preorder right now, and it is a return to the Magpie King's forest - the same setting my Lost Lore tale took place in.
Check out the Goodreads event for the preorder/launch for more info!

My first dip into the world of Paternus - had a lot of fun, especially with how he various myths blended together.
The attack by the Leviathan at the beginning was my favourite bit - I could feel the helplessness of the situation.

Oh, I should mention that I'm also giving away an ebook of
They Mostly Come Out At Night, the first Yarnsworld book :)

I really dug this story - the mood of the Barrowlands and the interaction between the characters was a lot of fun. Here are my favourite bits:
The sun’s rays spilled over the horizon, illuminating a distant hill that had the look of a man who had rolled over to die.
He held an object under his left arm that looked like a muddy cabbage.
(Had to mention this - reminded me immediately of reviewer-extraordinaire Hiugregg!)
Looking forward to your first book soon :)

Steve! I'm annoyed because I've lost my highlights from this story - wanted to point out some of my favourite passages, but alas...
This was my first dip into the Landkist world, and I dug it - damn, you've got a rich setting going on here :) As many above have already mentioned, the fight scenes were a particular highlight. Can tell your expertise has been put to good use - gripping stuff.

Well, here we are, folks :) It has been a long journey, and I'm sure many of us (especially me) have fallen behind a bit, so feel free to keep chatting away in the groups - my plan is to catch up over the next week.
On behalf of all the authors involved in the Readalong, I'd like to offer a massive thanks to everyone for... um, reading along :p As a way of saying 'thanks', a number of us are going to be giving away copies of our ebooks to people taking part - if you want to be entered into the draw, just reply to this post (probably a good idea to mention any of our books you have already read, so you don't get a doubler!). We'll make the draws next weekend (25th-26th Feb).
Finally, if you've read the book, please consider leaving it a review on Amazon, or on the other book retailers. Reviews can make a big difference in customer decision making, and having more reviews attached to a book will give us better promotion opportunities in the future. Here's the Amazon US link for quick access:
https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Lore-Anth...Thanks again, everyone! It's been a blast, and on a personal note I've really enjoyed dipping into the story worlds of my fellow authors.
Laters!

I dropped the ball on this one - sorry for not posting the topic earlier! Even more fitting than usual, feel free to post in here after the date :)

We're almost there! I'm sure, like me, many are falling behind a bit. You know the drill by now...

As before, feel free to comment after the 15th!

As always, feel free to chime in if you are a bit late (I'm WELL behind at the moment, but still plan to hit each thread some point soon). Spoilers are welcome, Jeff should be around to answer any questions people may have...

Spoilers welcome! Feel free to keep commenting if you are late to the party!

As before, please feel free to comment in this thread, even if you miss the 10th February! Spoilers are welcome from this point on...

I had so much fun with this one! Such an unusual voice, and a nice dash of pitch black humour in the collection.
Question: are we going to be finding out more from this world, or is this a one-off?

As before, please feel free to comment in this thread, even if you miss the 9th February! Spoilers are welcome from this point on...

As before, spoilers are welcome, feel free to post your thoughts on the tale after 8th Feb if you come to the Readalong late, feel free to ask any questions :)

An audio file?! So much win :) Will be passing this on to so many people...

I got the chance to beta read this one, and it was my first Tim experience. I've since picked up the first book in her series, so that should give an idea of how much I enjoyed her short.
I'm very interested in hearing how people found the ending of Into the Woods. It is one of the few stories I've read that provoked a physical reaction from me. I had to go for a walk to calm myself down :)

As before, spoilers are welcome, feel free to post your thoughts on the tale after 7th Feb if you come to the Readalong late, feel free to ask any questions :)

As before, spoilers are welcome, feel free to post your thoughts on the tale after 6th Feb if you come to the Readalong late, feel free to ask any questions :)
