Yeah, so far the top answer to the survey has been 2012. Of 179 responses, 41 (23.8%) have said 2012. The next highest is (to my surprise 2017) with 18 (10.5%). Most of the other years are roughly equal at 10.

4170 I've enjoyed the new version of the Churn podcast so far as well Mark. Good recommendation.

4170 you can see what date you joined on the member page if you look yourself up.

Depending on how unique your name is, it may be harder to find the page you're on in the search results.

If you post a lot you can try sorting the members by post count instead.

4170 Here is a direct link to the group membership page: https://www.goodreads.com/group/membe...

However when I clicked on edit group discussion updates, I didn't see anything there about the messages.

I think the setting is maybe a privacy one.

On the settings tab of the account Settings page (https://www.goodreads.com/user/edit) there is this about halfway down:

Who Can Send Me Private Messages:
anyone just my friends

I suspect anyone with that set to "just my friends" will not get the group newsletter.

4170 To the person who responded:

"I didn't even know there was a monthly newsletter - where is it? Why isn't it sent as a message to my GR inbox?"

I don't have a good answer to that. I think there is a way to disable the group emails, but I couldn't find where that setting exists.

4170 I created a survey again this year. This is my survey, not Tom & Veronica's.

Like last year's survey it's mostly for collecting better data on this year's book club challenges, but I added a few additional questions.

If you could please take a few minutes to fill it out, I'd appreciate it!

4170 OK, it looks like donations are still active (probably just never not active) but I think it's officially, officially over. So here are the final stats.

We had a total of 26 people who donated via our team, 4 anonymously.

We totaled $4,263.10  in member donations, plus another $1,212.60 in matching donations for a grand total of $5,475.70!

As a reminder, If anyone on the list below wants their name changed (first name only or forum name etc) please let me know. I plan to send the list to Tom & Veronica later today (unless I discover the campaign has been extended anyway).

You guys are the best. Thanks again to everyone who participated!

4170 Also, the header makes me think of bad slang:

Person 1: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you"
Person 2: "It coo"
4170 I haven't heard of this one before. Has anyone read it already?

There does look to be an audiobook but it currently has no rating at all. I guess because it only came out last week (12/12/19) despite the book being almost 20 years old now.

4170 I'm just happy there was finally some plot development!

4170 I guess today they are doing an "after party" from 12pm(I assume CST)-12am (PST apparently) on twitch and donations are still active until then. So I guess that means it really ends tonight at 12PM PST instead.

https://blog.patrickrothfuss.com/2019...

So I updated my previous post and removed the final stats. I'll make a new post once donations end for real. So anyone who still hasn't donated and want to, it looks like you've got 1 last chance!

4170 So I thought it ended already, but I see donations coming in on their main page as of a few minutes ago.

Not sure if they decided to extend it or if they have to manually end it and haven't. I can't get on twitter from to see if they posted something though.

Edit: looks like it's not done until tonight now, see my next post.

4170 I'm just really proud we've stayed in the top 10 for the majority of the fundraiser. I think we briefly dropped to 11 once, but otherwise we've been a top group. We'd be a bit higher if our first few donations got matched, but they didn't for some reason.

Thanks again to everyone who donated. I'll post the final stats tomorrow morning.
