Krystyna wrote: "421. What was the last book you read out of your comfort zone that you ended up really enjoying?"Many people are participating in sci-fi September within the online book community. I don't read sci-fi very much because the genre seems a bit intimidating to me. However, I saw a friend's rave review about A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers and decided to give it a try. It's a short novella, a total of 147 pages. I thought it would be a great opportunity to participate in sci-fi September and slowly wade into the science fiction genre. I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least. I ended up really loving this book. The only "complaint" that I had was that there wasn't much of a plot, but it's also a novella. What made me fall in love with this book was the writing and the characters. I'm excited to continue on with this series and other work from this author.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. What do you currently have checked out from the library?I had A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers checked out, but I returned it this morning. I read it over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I don't read much sci-fi but that one was a very cozy, heartfelt story that had such great commentary. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
