What a good idea for a group, Leslie. I have a second grader who's at the beginning reading stage, and a first grader who's working on sight words. I'm always looking for early readers that are a cut above the rest, and hope to share some of the ones we've enjoyed too. We have recently been excited about the Dodsworth series by Tim Egan, a writer with a kind of deadpan sense of humor. The first one is Dodsworth in New York.
