Behind her Eyes was the worst omg. It was just TOO absurd and ridiculous. Plus I felt that it was marketed as the wrong genre. I personally wouldn't have read it had I known of the paranormal aspect and it didn't even suggest that would be in there.

Also, does this challenge have side/mini challenges throughout?

The book ended up being 4 stars for me solely because the ending felt WAY rushed and out of the blue. It seemed a bit..out of place how extremely happy the ending was. Not to say that they didn't deserve a happy ending, but it just felt a tad ridiculous to me with the mood of the rest of the book

I think it was just so hyped up to me and it just...wasn't what I was expecting. I also wasn't a fan of the authors take on how to deal with mental illness and medication.

Lol....well I HATED the Midnight Library...I also already read it this year so can't re-read unfortunately for BOM for June

I hated Illuminae lol....for several reasons. but it seemed like one of those books you either absolutely loved or absolutely hated

Melissa I totally agree. I loved it. I'm really glad that was the first book I started the month out with!!! I don't want to say too much to spoil anything but I really don't have any complaints

Can we use books that are less than 100 pages? I know page count wise they're worth 0, but would they still be able to be used for tasks and stuff? I'm reading a series and they have "shorts" in between the books that are like 50-75 pages that I'll be reading regardless, so I thought I'd ask

DQ Day 3: Ch. 11-13

11. Do you think the author has been able to give Bess and Alexandra individual voices? Do you like books with multiple points of view?
I think so! I think the multiple points of view can be tricky. I've seen it done really well in some books, and then terribly in others. I think it's best when there is clear separation of the characters, like how this book has several chapters for each. I find it can be a bit confusing when it's constantly jumping back and forth.

12. What do you think ‘Eliza’ and Agnes were talking about in the kitchen? Do you think either Agnes or Maria know that Charlotte came from the Foundling home?

I'm not sure and I don't remember how long they've been in the home. I feel like they must know if they worked in the home before that? But if they didn't, then maybe not.

13. I think that Alexandra will get much worse re her fears of the outside after the mask prank. Do you think her thoughts about ‘Eliza’ will suffer because of it?

I definitely think her fears will get worse. That part made me feel so bad, and now we have a bit of an idea as to why she is so fearful! It made me sympathetic towards Alexandra, even though she isn't the most likeable character. I don't think Eliza will suffer since the masks weren't her idea.

14. Do you believe that Dr Mead was telling the truth about not knowing about what happened to Alexandra’s parents? Why has he lied about who ‘Eliza’ is?

I don't know why he would lie unless he has some ulterior motive to upset Alexandra. Maybe Daniel didn't feel it was okay to tell all of the details of her family's business to Dr. Mead? I don't believe Alexandra would let Eliza into the home if she knew who Eliza really was!
