Hi guys! Sorry for my absence! Work and classes have been absolutely crazy recently! I will be reading a lot this weekend though to make up for it!

I may be being incredibly silly, but I thought "The Familiar" started on July 2nd and "The Book That Wouldn't Burn" started on July 15th?

I would be willing to read Legacy of Lies . Its a shorter book than i'm used to so it should be easy to get through in one week
Hi guys!I just finished reading There Are Rivers in the Sky This book was definitely a bit of a struggle for me to get through as there were quite a bit of triggers at the end and I had to keep putting it down. But I only had 5% left and I just kinda wanted to finish it. Other than the end, it was a beautiful story with amazing descriptions. I am now reading Young Conquerors: A Novel of Hephaestion and Alexandros As of right now (i'm only 10% in) I really like it!
Hi guys! I started my internship this week so reading has slowed down a bit. I will be checking in more often though. Sorry. I havent abandoned you guys. Just a crazy first week.
Hi guys! Sorry I've been a little MIA... Ive been scrambling to find an apartment in Pittsburgh for my internship so life's been a little crazy. I finished reading The Institute while I was on vacation a week ago. Accidentally dropped it in the pool as well (it was a library book...). Had to buy it oops :O But on the bright side it was a great book!I started reading There Are Rivers in the Sky Will take a look at the new mini and see if it's helpful towards anything there!

I just have a beach house up here and usually live up North, but I've been sweating like crazy! Today espeically! I had to go in the pool today before finishing my work for classes because I was so hot... not like I'm complaining about that though lol
I just finished The Broken Girls Not gonna lie it wasn't my favorite although it had a good plot! This might be becuase the first book I read by Simone St James was The Book of Cold Cases and I absolutely loved that book!It kinda just seemed like the book was missing something, but I'm not sure.

I'm liking it so far. Only about 60 pages in, but it seems interesting!
I just finished The Forgotten Names . Read it rather quickly because I am currently on vacation. Once I start working, I will be reading slower, but I will be starting The Broken Girls either later or tomorrow. Excited for it as I've liked previous books by this author before

That is a very pretty cover! Unfortunately my Holly book from the library isnt one of the ones that glows. But Im happy to meet someone else who likes reading Stephen King! Most people look at me like Im crazy when I say I like his books. Theyre not all scary lol

Don't worry, my Philly roots are too strong to convert to a Pittsburgh fan! I have an internship with Bechtel doing procurement. They help supply the Navy. And thank you!

I didn't realize that she was a character from other books until I was on about page 100. So I'll just have to read them backwards. The book seems to fill you in enough though without having read the Bill Hodges or Mr. Mercedes, etc.
Hi everyone! My name is Shannon! I'm another one of your co-captains and I am so excited to be doing this challenge with you guys! Im sorry I wasn't able to introduce myself sooner, but I had a lot of graduation parties last week!
This is my 4th big challenge with NBRC although I was also involved in a few others. This is my 3rd time co-captaining for them as well. I definitely recognize quite a few people's names and icons as well!
I am originally from outside of Philadelphia, but this year I will be moving to Pittsburgh in the summer to intern for a company.
Some of my favorite genres include mysteries, fantasy, horror, and historical fiction although I will give any book a chance! I'm also not really picky on the length of books, unless I've just read like 3 600+ page books in a row. Then I will usually tend to read a shorter one just so I don't start losing interest.
I am also interested in re-reading the Hunger Games series with you all! I read them back when I was in 6th grade so it's definitely been awhile for me.
Anyways, I can't wait to get started! Gotta finish up Holly by Stephen King before we begin and then "Let the games begin!"
