35559 Ok, for the cover challenge, I would like to read Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3) by Sarah J. Maas .

It works for either Task: Read ONE book with a person (full body head to foot) on cover or Read TWO books for Team Colors
(may be same color - 60% of cover Either Blue, Black, Red, Yellow, or Green), (http://labs.tineye.com/color/948a8fb3... - when I added up all the shades of green, it came out to 74.9%).

Which ever spot you like to place me in is fine.

35559 Hi Sherri.

I believe you are looking for a title that starts with Liar, Wolf, Moon or Spell (the last 2 words work if I read one of my wolf books).
Burning Firebirds (2290 new)
Jul 01, 2016 06:54AM

35559 I can read Wolf Moon if we have any more Moon titles to use. And if Sherri doesn't want the spot.

Plus this one is nice and short, not like the 700 pages books I was finding before.

I also have Wolf Spell, which is a bit longer, but if Spell works better than Moon for someone.

EDIT: Not needed, Sherri will take Wolf

35559 Oh, unless we want to switch our lists for leg 1 and leg 2 and then we could end with Life of Pi and continue on from Light.

But I'm not the fastest reader, so I'm cool sticking with heat 2.

EDIT: Actually, Life of pi is longer than I thought, so maybe not

35559 Hey, I was just reading the rules again and they say titles of books must have 2 words minimum. I think one of our starting books (heat 2 - leg 2) is a one word title.

I could be missing something, but I just want to make sure we are meeting the requirements.

35559 I have a couple books that would work for Life but neither is ideal.

Life of Pi - Absolutely terrible word to end on!
Life Mask - This one is almost 700 pages, so time consuming and not ideal for the points.

So basically, I have these two if we are really really desperate.

35559 Ok, Midnight City is going to be too difficult to get in time for the challenge.

So, based on what is actually available at my library, I could either do:

Midnight Crossroad
West of the Moon

Any preference on which I should read? I'm thinking Moon would be easier than Crossroad, but would love a second opinion.

I need to go to the library tonight though because tomorrow is a stat holiday here in Canada.

35559 OK I definitely won't do Midnight Rides. Let me check if I can get Midnight City from the library in time. I'll update once I check when I get home.

35559 I can do Midnight Rides for heat 2 leg 3, but I don't know if that's the easiest word to follow.

That's the only thing I've got on my TBR that matches anything right now. Or we can wait and see what other team members have and see if I can find something else.
Jun 30, 2016 01:10PM

35559 I have a Firebug coming out tonight or tomorrow morning.

35559 Ok, I am hoping to catch up on a few series . Which of course makes things tricky because they need to be read in order. So I'll just list the ones I can read right away:

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
Changeless by Gail Carriger

Then there are some other books that are later in the series.
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
Blameless by Gail Carriger
Timeless by Gail Carriger
Heartless by Gail Carriger

I don't know if it will be too confusing to include those ones in this challenge because they need to be read in order, so I'm totally fine with saving them for a later challenge.

EDIT:
So I remembered I just got Neuromancer by William Gibson from the library, so I'll definitely want to read that in the next 3 weeks.

Other than that, a few other books that I have on the top of my TBR are:
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
The Martian by Andy Weir
Scary Mary by S.A. Hunter
Demon Girl by Penelope Fletcher
Lirael by Garth Nix
Antigoddess by Kendare Blake
Hiding Out at the Pancake Palace by Nan Marino

I don't HAVE to read any of these except for Neuromancer, so if they don't work for this challenge, I can save them for later. And if there are certain challenges we need to find books for, I enjoy sorting my books, so I can dig through my TBR and see if I have anything that works.

35559 Ok, next up I'm reading The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss by Max Wirestone

I don't know if you want to use it as a bonus or wait and see what we get on our next set of shots.

It would fit under Mystery (61), Humour (26), Contemporary (20) or YA (11)
