Yes, the paperback count is fine.

Sounds good! But can't it be a 500 pager and chipmunk food?

35559 I’m starting on a book for “whole” and an author from Saudi Arabia.

35559 Oof! Goodreads keeps going down here
I just finished my 500 pager. It has a former professor as the main character - I think that works? He is recruited to work with / against an alien species.

I'm also reading The Bromance Book Club which is funny at least :)
How are other people's reading going? Any standout books?

35559 I used Skye's shapeshifter book for the Pennywise one.
Now we have two or three new ones!
10 Things the Chipmunks Love - Twists! Read a book with a twist in the tale
X-Rated - Read a book with MPG New Adult and NOT Young Adult
10 Things the Chipmunks Love - Vanilla! - Read a book with "vanilla" in the text

I've never noticed if my books were new adult or not - I'll have to keep an eye on that!

35559 I just ordered a book written by a Saudi Arabian author. I think it will be a good one for my classroom too. It will be here by Wednesday - it doesn't look like a long read.
35559 June 25th - DQs Day 9 Chapters 23&24
1. Something I enjoy about this book is the detail of everyday life in 1963. I was taken aback by the primitive quality of the hospitals at that time. Is there anything about the time period that surprises you?
2. Do you feel that Sadie is growing as a character, or is she more of a foil for Jake’s character development?
3. Whenever Jake bets, it makes me nervous. Would you have relied on betting in tight circumstances, or would you have tried something else?
4. What do you think Sadie’s role will be on 11/22/63?

I put it down for the bright yellow.

Good to know. Marlon James is tough for me. I read Black Leopard Red Wolf, and though I could see the brilliance in the writing, the violence and not always consensual sex was difficult for me to get through.

Yes, there are allusions to Pennywise in the book - I would say it works! Cindy's book works also, so I'd say either would be good.

Good question. I haven't read It, but I looked up some information on Stephen King Wiki. Here are some thoughts:

Pennywise is a shapeshifter
It feeds on humans
It comes from outer space
It hibernates
It appears in 11/22/63
It is a predator that scares it's victims first
It has psychic abilities

Well then! So some sort of dark thriller...
