And 8 in a row is rough!

Movie HP and Book HP are a bit muddled because I haven't read the books in so long.

Book II Home Again to Reset
6.) This section had a lot of Roger and Dodger breaking off contact and coming back together again for varied reasons. Have you ever broken off contact with someone for years only to come back together as friends? Anyone one you wish you could reconnect with?
7.) Color seems to be an important theme in the book. As descriptors of people, places, things happening. Even as the balance between bright, colorful Dodger and colorblind bland Roger. Is this device helpful to you as you read the story?
8.) Theories as to why it's so important for Roger and Dodger to be separate? Also, I find it interesting that their initials are R&D which is common shorthand for Research & Development considering they are basically Reed's experiments.
9.) I thought Dodgers metaphor about prodigy kids being circus freaks/performers an apt one with adults and peers viewing them differently. Adults being amazed and peers ridiculing. Do you think it was an accurate description?
10.) Halfway through the book. Anything you are hoping gets explained/revealed in the second half? Any character you hope gets a comeuppance?
Bonus: Hand of Glory makes an appearance. Creepy!! Darren's hand? gross, but not all that surprised I suppose after reading some of the Wayward Children series. Thoughts?

Book VII The End - Deed
1. How do you feel about the book starting with the ending? What are you thoughts on the overall style?
I think it's fine and is an effective way to get people reading so they know how the storyline ended up there. Overall the book is very readable and the style is working for me.
2. I have the audio and the hardcover and the cover image is much more striking on the hardcover. Any theories on what it represents?
I agree with others that it makes sense it's the Hand of Glory. I don't have a better suggestion.
3. Asphodel believed "the balance between language and mathematics: the two methods through which Man has always been able to influence and even command Nature. The Doctrine must thus be viewed as the most dangerous and the most desirable of alchemical incarnations".
Does this make Roger and Dodger incredibly dangerous once they gain more knowledge, or unwitting weapons for Reed (or both?).
I'm guessing unwitting weapons until the become adults/figure out what's going on and they rebel. My guess is that rebellion goes pear-shaped and that was the opening with guns, blood, and whatnot is all about.
4. Is this book meeting your expectations so far? Have you read other books by McGuire (or 'Mira Grant')?
It terms of readability and overall creepiness with children being main characters dealing with weighty issues, yes. I'm read the first 4 Wayward Children and am hoping to get to book 5 soon.
5. What do you think of the excerpts of "Over the Woodward wall"? Are they foreshadowing something for Roger and Dodger?
Yes I think it's some foreshadowing or connection between the two sets of children. It's making me want to read Over the Woodward Wall.

I think I’m going to get them all in a spreadsheet and chip away at filling in tasks.

"When they hanged him, they botched the job, and he was decapitated."
Also - how much of the book needs to be set in the desert to count for 'takes place in desert..."
Yes, that works for beheading. Intentional or unintentional head removal is fine for this task.
50% at least of the book needs to be in the desert locale.

I have Blade Breaker which is over 500 pages, I’m just waiting to Feb 1st to start it since I don’t think I can get it done before UNO starts.

I'm going to say no to this one. I'd be okay if it was in a quote or poem right at the opening before chapter 1, but not on the summary which isn't always written by the author.
