Ha I feel like I'm the ONLY ONE enjoying it! Can't really explain why, but I find myself wanting to read m..."
I hope you continue to enjoy! I will say there are glimpses that I enjoy, but I think I am also burnt out on rich people problems lol.

6. The author goes for the switching POVs and timelines method. How do you like these in general? And do you think it is a good fit for this book?
I think it works well for this book, but I really do like flashback POVs in general.
7. We get to meet some more characters along the way in the "THEN" section: Dylan's uncle Terry, his brother, the mysterious Grace and other friends whose dynamics to Dylan and Marcus should shed some more light on their characters and motivation. But do they? Do you feel like you are getting to know them better? Or understand them? (Or care?)
No, I don't really understand these characters. Theyre all pompous and vague, but also kind of boring?
8. What do you think about Dylan's and Addie's past relationship in France? Do you like it/find it convincing? What about their sudden meeting in the present and the insta-lust after all the emotional baggage they seem to be dragging with them?
I guess yeah; they young and on vacation and I think it's pretty believable. However, I don't see any actual chemistry outside of the bedroom so I'm hoping we get to see more.
9. I'm not really sure I'd call this book a "romance" though it certainly offers the trope of second-chance. Do you have any favourite romantic trope(s) or one that you especially dislike?
I definitely think it's romance. I sometimes like the second chance book, but it doesn't seem like this couple is making a way to getting back together....
10. Any guesses what part Rodney may play in the plot or do you think he's just some kind of "filler" character?
I think he's going to have some saving grace possibly.

Now - Now last line "...reach out and touch her."
1.) Is this your first book by O'Leary? Only reading for points and that lovely 'O' letter for Wheel-a-thon or was it already on your tbr list? This has been on my TBR for a long time, but I've been waiting for my library to get an audiobook copy. I'm so glad they did and I am so glad this challenge pushed me to read it!
2.) Road trips. Love them, hate them? If you've gone on a road trip before what are some must have for the journey?I used to looove road trips. My hubby and I are road warriors and would road trip every weekend somewhere (usually visiting people). Now that I have kids we spend way too much time in the car (seeing family) and they are young enough that it is not so fun hahaha.
3.) Deb's comment about never having a baby obviously proved untrue. Do we think the baby daddy is going to make an appearance in the story? Or do you think it's a no name person who isn't relevant to the book?I don't rule anything out and I always think that things are "casually" dropped for a reason so I think there is a story here that we will learn.
4.) The flagrant unconcern about money by half the characters is a bit gross. Do you think that's at the root of Dylan and Addie's split? Or do you think it's the mysterious Grace? Marcus especially seems to not know the whole breakup story. Any guesses to why Dylan didn't seem to tell him the truth?I am trying to give Dylan the benefit of the doubt because it's sooooo cringy and unrelatable, but I feel like there is more - Addie says that Dylan ruined her life. But I wouldn't blame her if that's the reason because they really do seem oblivious to real life. Also Dylan seems like he likes secrets and drama so maybe that's why he didn't spill.
5.) Initial impressions of the cast of characters?
I love Addie and Deb (Deb is my favorite so far honestly, she is straight and sassy and no bullshit). The boys.... I still can't decide.

You got this!!! Praying for you and that special bub!

This right here makes me want another baby hahahah.

-You are entering the arena to great fanfare. What theme song is playing you in?
Bring Em Out - TI (yes I'm a Millenial)
-If you could raise it from infancy, would you prefer a dragon or a unicorn?
dragon because they can flyyyyy
-What is your favorite book genre? Movie genre?
mystery/cozy mystery and I admit I am nottttt a big movie watcher, but I like heist movies
-What is the weirdest book you ever read for a challenge?
Bunicula (and I loooved it)
-Santa is real. Yes or no?
I hope so or someone has been eating my Christmas cookies!
-Mountain vacation, or beach?
love both, but beach because water and salty air
-Time travel exists. Where/when would you go?
Uhhh the past is scary. Maybe I would just repeat my evenings to get more reading time. Or spend more time in the weekends hhehe
-If you could “borrow” one piece of art from any museum for 50 years, what would it be?
Icarus by Matisse
-What game or sport or pastime from your childhood is no longer done today?
Hmmm I'm not sure
-First video game?
Not a big gamer, but I loved 007
-Do you have pets? (Add pictures if you want.)
Not anymore, but I had some really cuddly cats growing up (I'm allergic to dogs and my hubby is allergic to cats so.... womp womp).
-Dream date? (And I do mean dream. Idris Elba is taken. By me.)
Dates scare me hahahahahha
-Uggs or Crocs?
Crocs! Uggs make my feet sweat lol
-Did you ever have a mood ring?
Duhhhh
-What books are you most looking forward to reading?
This is tough because I'm a mood reading, but I'm hoping for some cozies and some darker thrillers . Maybe more by Alice Feeney

I'm Rebecca from NY where we are finally having fall weather - yay! I've been feeling slumpy so this challenge is at the perfect time! That's all for now because I need to finish my coffee...
My shelf is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

(and excited to see a I and purple cover in the offing from you :) )"
Done!
Yay - I tried to go through my August stack to see things that might work!

Casket as a weapon because you can trap some one & suffocate them! :D :D"
This cracks me up because that actually just happened in the book I finished....

Hi team - sorry I've been absolutely silent....turns out family vaction with 24 people and 2 small kids means 0 reading done. I'm hoping to finish up 1-2 books that I had started before next week today (fingers crossed).
I am going on my in-laws family vacation next week (if I can muster any more energy), but that should allow for more reading because its in the mountains and nothing to do after 8pm.

After July 12th I have basically no more plans for the summer!

Do we all read a book that matches up the overlap, or do we parry back and forth..."
It looks like we parry back and forth, so we use the first week to plan out all 10 books (they choose, we choose, they choose, we choose, etc). Then in the 2nd week of the round we have to read all those books our team choose (whoever volunteered the book, not everyone reading the same ones).
Does that sound right?
